Th morning started out pretty cool, calm and I was the only one out on the track. As the sun rose, several inmates were out to see the sun rise. More inmates were out on the track after the sun was out. The sun rise was beautiful and priceless. A luxury I try to enjoy every morning. Stretched and rewarded my self with some donuts, nutty bar and warm water. Changed my T -shirt, dried up and started Yoga at 8:30 AM at the basketball court. Finished Yoga at 9:40 AM. Felt very relaxed after the practice. Visualized the beautiful sun rise with scattered clouds, and finished with a relaxing corpse pose and opened my eyes to a bright blue sky. Went back to the unit, some of the inmates were still asleep or watching television, NFL Games. Census count at 10:00 AM. Lunch was served after the count. Luncheon menu: meatloaf, biscuits with gravy, mashed potatoes, scrambled eggs and banana. Talked to Doris at 10:30 AM: Doris is well and refreshed , after a good night sleep. She took 4 Melatonin capsules and it helped her sleep. She was going out to start the van. I told her she could start it remotely form the key without going outside. It will run for about 10-15 minutes and shuts off by itself. Doris used to do it while I was in Malaysia, She harvested some tomatoes and the Persimmons are getting ready for harvesting. The weather was cold and the dogs are hiding in their house. I suggested going up and down the stairs as it would help her improve her legs but she need to do it when someone is in the house, it helps with her confidence.
Showered at 11:10 AM. Changed to BOP uniform and went to library to learn how to use the typewriter. Eureka, figured out how to use it. Type an envelope with my return address and addressed to Doris.
