The morning call out for food service workers at 5:00 AM. They were headed to the Penitentiary at 5:30 AM. The morning started out dark, hazy, breezy and cool. The lower atmosphere was hazy with plumes of dark smoke from the Coffee Pot and Boone fires. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with dark blue sky with the contrasting analogous colors peeking over the Sierras. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The dawn sky grew brighter and analogous colors radiated out from the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the reddish orange sphere illuminated the sky and warmed the air. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were scurrying around begging for food from the inmates. Walked 5 miles and ran the final mile. Completed 6 miles at 7:40 AM, ran the final mile in 8 minutes and 45 seconds or one minute and 28 seconds per lap. Felt good after the run as it was a pretty fast pace. I had to walk extra laps to catch my breath and to cool down. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:40 AM. The Yoga practice felt good after the run and I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful sunset and dusk sky, with the half moon in mid sky moving westward. Opened my eyes to the deep blue sky with a plane flying over me. Attended ACE Class Beginning Spanish 8:40 – 9:30 AM. Theme for today was Travel – Viaje. Good conversational Spanish class. She was doing some chores around the house. The dogs are running around the house but Bobo is no longer with them. Doris is sad that Bobo is gone but she is getting over it. She asked if I was going to work in the Penitentiary tomorrow, I told her I will not as I have to tutor the GED and Statistics classes. She was busy preparing the answers to Eric’s questions. I told her I will work on my Class Reports and study the Statistics manual to get ready for the tutoring. She was glad that she did not spend the $5-8K to remove the lumps from Bobo a few weeks ago. Bobo will be cremated on Wednesday. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8751 steps, 16.3 inches step length and symmetry was 64%.
