9/14/2023 Thursday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform, and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 92 degrees F. Started walking at 6:10 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:30 AM. Breakfast menu: Cereal, muffin and apple.

Plan for Today:

  1. Stretch.
  2. Call Doris.
  3. Email daily diary for 9/13/2023.
  4. Walk 6 miles.
  5. Quotations.
  6. ACE Classes – Philosophy of Emotions 4-4:30 AM, Sociology 5-5:30 PM and How your body functions 6-6:30 PM.
  7. Brain Health as You Age 7-8 PM.

Ms Tianto was in the unit at 6:00 AM. Finished walking 6 miles at 7:45 AM, time was 1 hour 15 minutes and 52 seconds. Average 12 minutes 39 seconds per mile or 2 minutes 7 seconds per lap. The morning walk was beautiful with the grand sunrise over the Sierras. The Rabbits are nocturnal and they were out in force in the early morning hours before the sunrise. After the sun rise, they we gone and replaced by the squirrels and birds. Stretched until 8:10 AM. Census count at 8:15 AM. Finished cutting up the pants for hemming. Lunch was served at 10:15 AM. Luncheon menu: Baked chicken, salad, apple and green beans. Talked to Doris at 10:40 AM: Doris is well and she was getting ready to see Dr Yang. She might be ready for another Cortisone shot for her knee. Karlee and Chris came home last night, Karlee was exhausted. Karlee will visit me next weekend. The dogs are well and feisty as ever. Doris was depressed about frequent visit to the Doctors office. I told her it is part of getting better and her health has improved a lot, she can see better, walk better and her asthma is under control.
Showered at 11:00 AM. Went to sewing room to start hemming some pants. Hemmed 24 pants, thought I leave enough work for next week. I could have completed all the hemming if I needed to. Dinner was served at 3:10 PM. Dinner menu: 2 hot dogs, fries and Cole slaw. Census count at 3:30 PM. ACE Classes – Philosophy of Emotions 4-4:30 PM, Sociology 5-5:30 PM and How your Body Functions 6-6:30 PM. Brain Health as you age 7-8 PM. Completed EBRR Class Report of Diabetes Prevention. Census count at 6:55 PM. Census count at 8:45 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is well and she has an appointment with Dr. Yang. Karlee and Chris are home to keep her company. Walked 6 mile. Started hemming pants for the main penitentiary. Attended ACE Classes and Brain Health as you age. Completed EBRR Class report Diabetes Prevention.
