The morning call out for food service workers at 5:00 AM. They were headed to the Penitentiary by 5:30 AM. The morning started out dark, hazy, breezy and cool. The lower atmosphere was hazy from the Coffee Pot and Boone fires around Fresno. The beautiful dawn sky was son display, dark blue sky with analogous colors peeking over the Sierras and the crescent moon was towards the Western sky. As the morning progressed, the analogous colors stared radiating out of the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields. They scampered as we approached them, Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the beautiful colors over the Sierras were displayed coupled with the outline of the Sierras, it created a picturesque scene. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were scurrying around begging for food from the inmates. Completed 6 miles walk at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 13 minutes and 42 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 17 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 3 seconds per lap. Stretched and split stretched until 8:20 AM.
