9/8/2023 Friday Daily Diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform, and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather channel, high temperature for today is 97 degrees F. Started walking at 6:10 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:20 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, muffin, banana and punch.

- Email Daily Diary for 9/7/2023.
- Walk 6 miles.
- Yoga.
- Quotations.
- ACE Classes – Italian Cities 4-4:30 PM, Oceanography 5-5:30 PM and Ethics 6-6:30 PM.
- National Diabetes Prevention 7-8 PM.
Finished walking 6 miles in 1 hour 11 minutes and 47 seconds, average 1 minute 59 seconds per lap or 11 minutes 59 seconds per mile. The morning walk was nice and cool, the sun rising over the Sierra range and the animals were out in force. Completed Walk by 7:30 AM. Stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court. Finished Yoga practice at 9:00 AM. It was nice practicing Yoga in the morning sun, sun worshipping. The practice was good and worked up a sweat, had to change my T shirt after the practice. Washed a load of mops and rags for the unit and another for the front lobby and one for the kitchen. Showered at 9:45 AM. Washed my laundry at 10:10 AM. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: Fried fish, bread, coleslaw, cantaloupe and punch. Talked to Doris at 10:45 AM: Doris is well, as usual in her cave. She got lots of bread from Kein and they will donate them to the homeless. She gave Kein some tomato and a bottle of wine. Karlee is leaving for LA for the weekend. Activities with Mava were cancelled. The dog are well. Geok Inquired if I received the second cared she sent, I told her not yet. Also I told her that BOP open all our mails. She like both the book reports that i sent yesterday. I told her I will be studying for my Tuesday examination over the weekend. Finished washing Mops and Rags at 1:00 PM. Went to library to read. Dinner was served at 3:10 PM. Dinner menu: Chicken fajita, corn, beans and salsa. Census count at 3:30 PM. Ace Classes – Italian Cities 4-4:30 PM , Oceanography 5-5:30 PM and Ethics 6-6:30 PM. Read at the library form 4:30 – 7:00 PM. nation Diabetes Prevention at 7-8 PM. In Italian cities we learned about Milano and Lake Como. Leonardo Da Vince was a resident of Milano and his last supper painting is on display there. In oceanography we learned about ocean currents. We had a final examination in our Ethics Class. In Diabetes we learned about causes of Diabetes, Insulin to control it and some of the consequences of Diabetes. census count at 7:40 PM. Back to he unit at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 8:40 PM. Census count at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is well with lots of bread to give away. Walked 6 miles, the last 4 miles at a very good pace. Practiced Yoga, felt good after the practice. Attended ACE Classes and Diabetes Prevention class. Passed the Ethics examination.
