9/7/2023 Thursday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:10 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee and watched the local news and weather channel, high temperature for today is 92 degrees F. Started first load of laundry at 5:30 AM. Started walking at 5:50 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:15 AM. Breakfast menu: cereal, muffin, apple and punch.

- Reyes about FRP.
Received my commissary at 7:35 AM, spent $19.75. Walked first three miles in 40 minutes and 9 seconds. Had to dodge water spray form the sprinkler and detour around puddles on water ponding on the track. the morning sunrise and cool temperature was nice for walking. Attended the ServSafe Manager class from 7:30 – 8:30 AM. After the class I got my results form Ms Hubbard for the ServSafe Food Handler’s examination, My score was 95 % out of 100 %. Not Bad. Talked to Counselor Reyes about the amount committed to FRP, He told me that is a floating amount and it varies based on how much is deposited into my Commissary account. They will only take $58 monthly from my account. That’s is a relief my examination score and my FRP issue resolved. Final three miles was completed in 35 minutes 27 seconds, 1 minute and 49 seconds per lap, average 11 minutes 49 seconds per mile. The pace was a lot faster after all my worries about my examination scores and FRP was resolved. Worked up a good sweat and felt really good after the walk. Showered at 10:00 AM. Lunch was served at 10:30 AM. Luncheon menu: Baked chicken, bread, pudding, macaroni and cheese and punch. Talked to Doris at 10:45 AM: Doris is well and the dogs almost knocked her over. She harvested some tomatoes and she will give them to Diana and Kein when they come by the house today. I told her I passed the ServSafe Food Handler examination. The FRP amount is $58, The amount available for FRP is a floating number based on my deposit to my account. Michael Santos said I could ask for sentence reduction in December for Zero Point Charge and also ask for Second Chance Act for elderly reduction in time. She told me she had a good talk with Siew Lan and the rest of the family. Went to the library to read from 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM. Ms Hubbard gave me my certificate for the ServSafe Food Handler. Mr Eshceveste talked to me about operating the laundry 7 days a week, hired two more help for another shift and install a new washer and dryer in the laundry room. Finished my Book report on Walk with Ease. BACK TO TH EUNIT AT 3:00 pm. Worked on the daily diary and book report. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Chicken fried rice, diced carrots, bread and punch. Had a massage by Victor at the Laundry room. ACE classes – Philosophy of Emotions 4-4:30 PM, Sociology 5-5:30 PM and How your body works 6-6:30 PM.Worked on book report from 4:30 -7:00 PM. Brain Health as you age 7-8:00 PM. Census count at 8:45 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a very good day: Doris is well, the dog are okay. FRP issue was clarified. Passed the ServSafe Food Handler examination. Walked 6 miles. Commissary day. Attended ACE and EBRR Classes.
