9/1/2023 Friday Daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:40 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather channel, high temperature for today is 93 Degrees F. Started walking at 6:20 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:20 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, muffin, apple and punch.

- Walk 6 miles.
- Quotations.
- ACE Classes – Italian Cities 4-4:30 PM, Oceanography 3 5-5:30 PM and Ethics 6-6:30 PM.
Walked first 3 miles in 37 minutes and 15 seconds. Finished 6 miles in 1 hour, 15 minutes and 14 seconds, 2minutes 6 seconds per lap or 12 minutes 33 seconds per mile, pretty good walking pace. Completed walk at 8:00 AM. Stretched until 8:20 AM. Started practicing Yoga at 8:30AM at the basket ball court in the cool morning sun. It is nice to practice in the morning sunlight. Visualized the morning Sun Rise over the clouds amid the dawn sky, very tranquil setting. Felt really good and relaxed after the yoga. Jay Rod sewed some pants for Armando and ironed some Uniforms for Joker. Rickey gave me a couple of apples. Washed my walking shoes at 9:50 AM. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: Fried breaded fish sandwich, honey dew, pasta and punch. Talked to Doris at 10:45 AM: Doris is well and cheerful. Diana is with her and she is raiding the coin bank for quarters in anticipation for tomorrows visit. She asked if I was in bad mood yesterday as I did not write too much, I told her I was busy with my ACE Biology Class report in the library all day. She paid all the the bills and my retirement check was deposited to out account. I asked her to transfer some money to the savings account. Doris, Kein and Diana will leave the house around 8:00 AM and get here around 11:00 AM after my lunch. The phone was cut of suddenly.
Washed a load of blankets and sheets for Mike at 11:00 AM. Mike gave us some Fried Fish and honey dews, I shared it with Jay Rod. Showered at 11:30 AM. Washed my laundry at 12:00 PM. I ate the Honey Dews and they were delicious. Went to the library to work on my Biology Class report from 12:00 – 2:00 PM. Rickey gave us some fried fish filet, I gave them to Jon. I ate the Fried Fish filet and they were good. Finished my laundry at 2:00 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Pasta with ground meat, bread, salad and punch. Rickey brought his weight bag and it needs resewing in areas which we did not sew. The areas that we sew held up very well. ACE Classes Italian Cities 4-4:30 PM, Oceanography 5-5:30 PM and Ethics 6-6:30 PM. Armando cut my hair at 4:30 PM. Read at the library from 5:30-6:30 PM in between classes. In Oceanography we learned about storms and hurricanes. In Ethics we learned about Hostile Corporate Takeover. Back to the unit at 6:30 PM. Showered at 6:35 PM. Cleaned up at 8:00 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Census count at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is well and is looking forward to her visitation tomorrow. Diana was with Doris and she too was excited to visit me tomorrow. Walked 6 miles today. Practiced my Yoga. Finished my Biology book report. Ate a lot of fish and Honey dews. Attended ACE Classes.
