Woke up at 5:00 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather channel, high temperature for today is 98 degrees F. Started first load of laundry at 5:25 AM. Started walking at 5:50 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:10 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, muffin, apple and punch.

Finished walking at 8:05 AM. Completed 6 miles in 1 hour 16 minutes and 36 seconds. Average 12 minutes 46 seconds per mile. The Morning walk was refreshing. Jay Rod has been busy sewing and working in the laundry room since 7:00 AM. He is enjoying his sewing assignment and the laundry duties. Lunch was served at 10:30 AM. Luncheon menu: Tacos, ground meat, beans, corn, rice, banana and punch. talked to Doris at 11:00 AM: Doris is well and will get her shots at 2:00 PM. She texted Thomas Johnson, who said he will email me. The dogs are fine, just barking a lot and our neighbor has a poodle. She asked about Jay Rod and I told her he is an excellent worker, unafraid or work and has the right attitude. I told her I was working on my book and class reports as well as preparing to take several examinations after the labor day weekend. Washed a lot of laundry for Mike. Exchanged some pants for Chris. Showered at 1:00 PM. Finished all laundry duties at 1:30 PM. Washed my own laundry at 1:30 PM. Finished my laundry at 2:30 PM. We were sewing hanger straps and Cabinet hangers all day long. Installed the completed hanger straps in the unit. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: BBQ pork sandwich, coleslaw and punch. ACE Classes Philosophy and Existentialism 4-4:30, Art History 3 5-5:30 PM and Life of Muhamad 6-6:30 PM. Read at the library form 4:30 – 7:00 PM. In the art history we learned about realism and impressionism art. Realism was about real life painting, contemporary events, sincerity, actual normal colors, naive, honesty, flat strokes. Impressionism characteristic made to look like impression at the moment, no outlines, shift in subject matters, Parisian middle and upper class, shadows are not black, no outlines. Back to the unit at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 8:20 PM. Census count at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is well and getting her asthma shots at 2:00 PM. the dogs are well. Walked 6 miles. Jay Rod is working out very well. Attended ACE Classes. Completed the hanger strap sewing assignment.
