The morning call out for food service workers at 5:00 AM. Th food service workers were headed to the penitentiary at 5:30 AM. The morning started out dark, hazy, breezy and cool. The lower atmosphere was hazy. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with analogous colors radiating out of the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the orange sphere brightened the sky and warmed the air. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. Th squirrels appeared after breakfast and were scurrying around begging for food from the inmates. Walked a couple of miles before breakfast. Went to front office and was checked into the commissary at the Penitentiary by Keith. Filled orders for Hygiene stuff for inmates until 11:30 AM. Cooked some lunch: BBQ short ribs, shredded beef tacos, pork rinds, Pepsi and Root beer. Very nice luncheon. I guess the Commissary staff knows how to take care of us. I was able to buy a pair of Asics running shoes and some food stuff from the commissary, I spent $84.45. Back to camp after cleaning up the utensils, plates and purchased our stuff at 1:30 PM. Rodrigo Santos substituted for me for the GED/ESL tutoring sessions. Counselor Reyes informed me that we will have three new inmates joining us today form the bus and assigned them to bunks # 35U, 53U and 76U. Went to sewing room to prepare bus bags for new inmates. Census count at 3:30 PM. The warden came to see the camp operation an informed us that the weekend visitation is back on. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Chicken fried rice, carrots, black beans, bread and water. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8768 steps, 16.6 inches step length an symmetry was 73%. Yesterday was the 217th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Diana and Doris went to IKEA. Diana bought a sofa and dinning set for 8 and other furnishings.
