Wake up call for food service workers at 4:30 AM. They left for the Penitentiary at 5:30 AM. Th morning started out bright, hazy, breezy and cool. The lower atmosphere was hazy but the air quality was okay. The half moon was in mid sky. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with analogous colors radiating out of the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. As the sun rise over the Sierras, it illuminated some sparse clouds over the Sierras turning them to peach color with golden edges. As the sun ascended above the clouds, it brightened the sky and warmed the air. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were scurrying around begging for food from the inmates. Walked two miles before breakfast and ran 6 miles after that. Completed 6 miles run at 7:50 AM in 59 minutes and 47 seconds. Average running times were: 9 minutes and 58 seconds per mile or 1 minute and 40 seconds per lap. The pace was fast as I was sweating and had to walk extra laps to catch my breath and to cool down. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 9:00 AM. The Yoga practice felt good in the breeze but I had to work extra hard to maintain my balance. I was able to exercise all phases of my Yoga practice: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose, visualized our Chinese New Year celebration at Genting View resort, Pahang. The condominiums were owned by AH Huat and it is a reunion for the Yong family. We had barbeque, lots of food, fruits, drinks, wine and of course gambling. It was a three day event. Their servants took care of our needs. We had Durian, Rambutans and Mango Steen in the afternoon. We had to hike to Starbucks for internet access and coffee and pastry. The air was cool and clean, it was a reprieve form the hot weather in Kuala Lumpur. Opened my eyes to the Blue sky with the half moon in mid sky. Secretary Mrs. Chavez informed me that we will not have any new inmates until 8/29/2024. Talked to Doris at 9:10 AM: Doris is well and rested. She will be busy today cleaning out the refrigerator as Francis is moving out tomorrow. She will be busy working on her Etsy web page. She called Quang and ended up talking to Annie, Quang is busy thus cannot come by to fix the sprinklers. Diana is not available to go shopping today, maybe tomorrow. Cleaned the computer room. Checked e mail from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8795 steps, 16.2 inches step length an symmetry was 72%. Yesterday was the 214th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She is not going anywhere today except in the backyard to: enjoy the weather, walk with her cast, let the dogs out and enjoy her tomato plants. Showered and change to BOP uniform at 9:40 AM. Brought some cleaned uniforms to the sewing room: repaired pants for Cody Carlson and sewed button for Angel. Lunch was served at 10:15 AM. Luncheon menu: Baked Chicken, macaroni and cheese, carrots, blue berry pie, and water. Went to warehouse to secure washing detergent and jackets. Had some pork and pepper at the warehouse. Happy delivered the merchandise to the sewing room: sized, repaired and put away uniforms, repaired jackets, pillow case for Jorge, exchanged pants for Means, exchanged jackets for Lonely and exchanged jacket for Kent Laird. Washed my laundry. GED/ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM was cancelled because students were working in the Penitentiary. Worked on my ACE Class reports and my Spanish Lessons. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Taco salad, carrot, black beans and water. Finished my laundry at 4:00 PM.
