8/22/2023 Tuesday Daily Diary from Atwater camp.
Woke up at 5:25 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform, and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee, and watched the local news and weather channel, high temperature for today is 87 degrees F. Started the first load of laundry at 5:40 AM. Started walking at 6:20 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:40 AM. Breakfast menu: Cereal, Apple, Muffin, and punch.

- ACE Classes – Psychology 4-4:30 PM, Religious Freedom 5-5:30 PM, and 12 Essential Scientific Concept 6-6:30 PM.
ServSafe class from 7:30-8:30 PM We learned about receiving and checking food from suppliers. How to process and store food to avoid cross-contamination. Finished walking 6 Miles in 1 hour 17 minutes and 11 seconds. Average pace is 2 minutes 9 seconds per mile. Stretched at the basketball court until 10:10 AM. Lunch was served at 10:30 AM. Luncheon menu: Chicken sandwich, Rice, salad, Banana and punch. Called Doris at 11:20 AM: Doris is well after her shot yesterday. Thomas Johnson called Doris about the restitution and he was working on the case. He will update Doris on the case periodically. The water from the heater overflow should not cause any settlement problems on the concrete foundation. Bobo and the rest of the dogs are well and Bobo is chasing after Doris for treats… I am glad we did not listen to the veterinarian to put Bobo down. Doris tried to start the van but could not start it. Rearrange the laundry room to prevent unwanted intrusion by inmates to the laundry to hide their contrabands. Additional was for Jesse due to a detergent spill. All inmates’ laundry was completed by 1:00 PM. Showered at 1:10 PM. Sewed some Bunk Hangers and repaired a blanket. Census count 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Meatloaf, bread, salad, and green beans. Blanket and sheet exchange for bunk #46-52. ACE Classes – Psychology 4-4:30 PM, Religious Freedom 5-5:30 PM, and 12 Essential Scientific concepts. We learned about Confucius’s teaching of love and filial Piety. Prepared EBRR Class report for ServSafe for Food Handler. Sewed more Bunk Hangers. Back to the unit at 7:00 PM. Exchanged pillow case for Willy. Washed blankets and sheets. Census count at 8:20 p.m. Cleaned up at 8:50 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a hectic but good day: Doris is well and she talked to Thomas Johnson. The dogs are doing well. Walked 6 Miles and stretched. Attended ServSafe and ACE Classes.
