The lower atmosphere was hazy but the air quality was okay. The full moon was moving West. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with analogous colors radiating out of the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the orange reddish sphere illuminated the outline of the Sierras, giving it depth for a picturesque scene and it warmed the air. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball field, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The squirrels appeared after breakfast scurrying around the camp begging for food from the inmates. Walked 2 miles before breakfast and ran the final 6 miles. The cool morning was good for walking and running. Completed 6 miles run at 8:00 AM, in 59 minutes and 36 seconds. Average running times were: 9 minutes and 56 seconds per mile or 1 minute and 40 seconds per lap. The pace was very fast, 12 miles per hour.
