8/17/2024 Saturday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 92 degrees F. Started walking at 6:15 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:40 AM. Breakfast menu: oatmeal, cake, milk, sugar, apple and water ( Harina de avena, torta, leche, ezucar, un manzana y agua).

  2. Call Doris.
  3. Check email from Doris.
  4. Email daily diary for 8/16/24.
  5. Walk 6 Miles.
  6. Split Stretch.
  7. Yoga.
  8. Quotations.
  9. ACE Classes Beginning Spanish 8:30 – 9:30 AM and Building Permit Process 6-6:30 PM.

The morning started out bright, hazy, breezy and warm. The lower atmosphere was hazy and the air quality looks better. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with analogous colors radiating out of the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the orange sphere illuminated the outline of the Sierras creating a picturesque scene. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were scurrying around begging for food from the inmates. The weather in the morning was nice for walking. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:50 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 12 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 22 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. The pace was fast for walking. Split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:30 AM. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized my trip to Cameron Highlands, Malaysia. Toured the Boh Tea plantation, colonial summer residences. Cameron was up in the Central Highlands of the Malay range an the temperature was nice and cool. Visited the town an its night market. Stayed at the Hilton Cameron Highlands and enjoyed their breakfast and dinner buffets of local dishes, fruits and desserts. Opened my eyes to the bright blue sky. Attended beginning Spanish Class from 8:30 – 9:30 PM. Themes for today were Architecture and emotions – Architecturo y Emocionades. Talked to Doris at 9:30 AM. Doris is well and rested. I told her I will be working in the penitentiary starting next Monday for a few weeks and will not be able to call her in the mornings. I told her I will be busy today with: repairing khaki uniforms, custom alterations for Juan Rojo and for Angel, and my ACE Class and Book Reports. Lunch was served at 9:35 AM. Luncheon menu: scrambled eggs, biscuits, apple, fries and water. Checked email form Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8624 steps, 16.4 inches step length and symmetry was 83%. yesterday was the 208th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Her ankle is still sore but is getting better and she is using a soft cast and analgesic for her ankle. She will stay home and in the backyard to: enjoy the nice weather, walk with her cast, let the dogs out an enjoy her tomato plants. The tomato plants are bearing more fruits. Th dogs are doing well and they are chasing the birds and squirrels. Karlee got a new Creative Project Manager position with a different company. Francis is moving out next Saturday. Went to sewing room: completed repair of Khaki uniforms, completed alteration for Juan Rojo, and completed alteration for Angel. Showered and changed to casual clothes at 12:40 PM. Went to library to work on my ACE class reports and book reports. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: chicken breast sandwich, green beans, potatoes salad, bun and water. ACE Class Building Permit Process 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.

Today was a good day: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8624 steps, 16.4 inches step length, and symmetry was 83%. Yesterday was the 208th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Karlee, moved to a Project Manager Position with a new company. Walked 6 miles, split stretched and practiced Yoga. Attended ACE Classes. Completed repair of Khaki uniforms, and completed all alterations.
