8/15/2023 Tuesday Daily Diary from Atwater camp.
Woke up at 5:00 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform, and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee, and watch the local news and weather channel, high temperature for today is 105 Degrees F. Started a first load of laundry at 5:15 AM. Started walking at 5:55 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:15 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, muffin, apple, and punch.
Plan for today:

  1. Stretch.
  2. Call Doris.
  3. Call Thomas Johnson.
  4. ServSafe class 7:30 – 8:30 PM.
  5. Walk 6 miles.
  6. Email daily diary for 8/14/2023.
  7. Quotations.
  8. Yoga.
  9. ACE Classes – Psychology 4-4:30 PM, Religious History 5-5:30 PM, and 12 Essential Scientific Concepts 6-6:30 PM.

Attended ServSafe class from 7:30 – 8:30 PM. The ServSafe class covers the first two chapters of the book. The topic covered was: Airborne contamination, physical hygiene around food, how to keep food safe, how to spot an airborne contamination outbreak, Various agencies that control the food industries, Allergens, bacteria, and virus. Finished walking 6 miles at 9:15 AM. Stretched until 9:35 AM. Fells good after the walk and stretch. Unfortunately, there was no time to practice Yoga. Tried calling Thomas Johnson at 10:15 AM, but there was no answer. Lunch was served at 10:30 AM. Luncheon menu: chicken sandwich, salad, diced vegetables, and punch. Called Doris at 10:45 AM. She is well, with no asthma attack. Bobo is doing well and running around the backyard back to her normal self. I told Doris that I tried to call Thomas Johnson but he did not answer my call. It would be better that he contact me via email. I told her my IFRP was $58 per Counselor Reyes. I told her I attend our first ServSafe class. I have been busy with laundry duties and classes. She told me that she has been applying ointment on Bobo twice a day and the results show. I told her to look at the Yoga book at home to look up about meditation, it would help her. I started reading ” People Smart”, “Neuroscience”, ServSafe for managers, and ServSafe for food handlers. Finished inmates’ laundry at 12:30 PM. Started washing uniforms and blankets. Started washing Mops and rags at 1:30 PM. Showered at 2:00 PM. Finished laundry duties at 3:10 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Polish dog, diced vegetables, garnished vegetables, and punch. ACE classes – Psychology 4-4:30 PM, Religious History 5-5:30 PM and 12 Essential Scientific Concepts 6-6:30 PM. Worked on my Daily Diary and read at the library in between classes from 4:30 – 7:00 PM. Got an email from Doris to call Thomas Johnson at 7:10 PM, Maybe I should call him in the evening to avoid miscalls or when he is busy. Cleaned up at 8:00 PM. Census call at 8:10 PM. Census call at 8:45 PM. Final census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is well, with no asthma attack. Bobo is running around, back to her normal self. Walked 6 miles and stretched. Attended ServSfae Class. Attended ACE classes. Started reading new books.
