The morning started out bright, hazy, breezy, and warm. Th lower atmosphere was hazy with plumes of dark smoke visible on the Western horizon. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with analogous colors radiating out of the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the orange reddish sphere illuminated the sky and warmed the air. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were scurrying around begging for food from the inmates. Completed jogging eight miles at 7:50 AM, in 1 hour 21 minutes and 37 seconds. Average running times were: 10 minutes 12 seconds per mile or 1 minute and 42 seconds per lap. The running time was fast but slightly slower than yesterday. I was sweating and had to walk extra laps to catch my breath and to cool down. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga on the basketball court until 8:50 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the run. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized my trip from Singapore to Malaysia. Boarded the train in Bukit Timah station in Singapore and crossed the causeway between Singapore and Malaysia. The train was an old antique train from the Colonial era. It passes through Johore Baru and we had to clear immigrations. Got back on the train and stopped in Muar. There were vendors selling snacks at every stations. Got on a tour bus to continue to Malacca. Opened my eyes to the Blue sky with some black smoke. Called Doris at 9:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. She asked me if visitation was back to normal, I told her most of the BOP staff are still out so I could not ask them about visitation. She will be busy in the backyard to: enjoy the cool weather, walk with her cast, let the dogs out and enjoy her tomato plants. Th dogs are well and are chasing after the birds and squirrels. I was lucky to connect with Doris as the phone system went down after my call. Cleaned the computer room. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8736 steps, 17.4 inches step length and symmetry was 76%. Yesterday was the 204th consecutive days she closed the ting on her iPhone. Her ankle was still hurting, so she has been using the soft cast and analgesic on her ankle. She reminded me to check if visitation is available this weekend. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:40 AM. Counselor Reyes informed me I might have to help in the Penitentiary for the next few days or weeks until this fiasco is over. Brought some cleaned uniforms to the sewing room: sorted and sized the uniforms, put away uniforms, repaired pants and shirts. Lunch was served at 10:25 AM. Luncheon menu: chicken sandwich, rice, black beans, apple and water. Went to sewing room: fabricate pillow cover for Jorge, fabricate pillow for Jorge and received Khakis for repair from Chan. Has a short nap. Talked to Education Manager Mr Johnson: additional time accommodation for Adilson Montiero and administered GED Practice Examinations to Adlison and Ruben Torres. GED/ ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Good tutoring sessions. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Casserole, green beans, salad, bread and water. ACE Class Stock Option 6-6:30. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count 8:00 PM. Cleaned up 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
