8/12/2024 Monday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 92 degrees F. Started walking at 6:00 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:30 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, cake, milk, sugar, apple and water (Harina de avena, torta, leche, ezucar, un manzana y agua).

  2. Call Doris.
  3. Check email from Doris.
  4. Email daily diary for 8/11/2024.
  5. Walk 6 Miles.
  6. Split Stretch.
  7. Yoga.
  8. Quotations.
  9. EBRR Class Disability 11:00 – 12:00 PM.
  10. GED/ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM.
  11. ACE Classes Constitutional Laws 5-5:30 PM and Commutational Awareness 6-6:30 PM.

The morning started out bright, hazy, breezy and warm. The lower atmosphere was hazy with some clouds over the Sierras. The beautiful dawn sky with nice clouds on display and analogous colors radiating out form the suns path: red orange, yellow, light green. light blue and blues sky. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the orange sphere illuminated the clouds and created some beautiful clouds and it warmed the air. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball field, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were scurrying around begging for food from the inmates. Jogged 8 miles, the run felt good after I completed it at 7:50 AM, in 1 hour 20 minutes and 8 seconds. The average running times were: 10 minutes and one second per mile or 1 minutes and 41 seconds per lap. The pace was pretty fast about 6 miles per hour. I was sweating and had to walk extra laps to catch my breath and to cool down, but felt good after the run. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 9:00 AM. I needed the stretching and Yoga to stretch my legs and body. I was able to exercise all phase in my Yoga practice: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. They called another group of camp inmates to help in the Penitentiary at 8:00 AM. Cleaned the computer room. Talked to Doris at 9:10 AM: Doris is well and rested. She was out in the backyard to: enjoy the nice weather, walk with her cast, let the dogs out and enjoy her tomato plants. Diana cannot come by the house as her daughter borrowed her car. Doris was nursing her ankle. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8673 steps, 16.5 inches step length and symmetry was was 74%. Yesterday was the 203rd consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She will do her walking in the backyard. Lunch was served at 10:00 AM. Luncheon menu: chicken tacos, rice, black beans, corn, apple and water. Every CO’s were at the Penitentiary for meeting about the incident on Thursday. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 10:30 AM. Had a nap. EBRR Class was cancelled. GED/ ESL tutoring 12:00- 2:30 PM. Good tutoring sessions. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner menu: BBQ pork sandwich, buns, Cole Slaw, kidney beans, sweat potatoes and water. ACE Classes Constitutional Laws 5-5:30 PM and Commutational Awareness 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.

Today was a good day: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8672 steps, 16.5 inches step length and symmetry was 74%. Yesterday was the 203rd consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Ran 8 miles, stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga. Attended ACE classes. Good GED/ESL Tutoring sessions.
