Finished walking 6 miles at 7:45 AM. It was a nice refreshing morning walk amid the Sun rising over the horizon, the rabbits, squirrels, and frogs were scampering to get out of my way or they are just playing with me. Stretched and practiced Yoga until 8:50 AM. The Yoga practice was refreshing and relaxing. Showered at 9:00 AM and Changed to BOP uniform for visitations. Census count at 10:00 AM. Lunch was served after the count. Luncheon menu: scrambled eggs, toast, fries, banana, and punch. Doris and Quang arrived at the visitation room at 11:30 AM. Doris was very happy. I had to fill out their visitation forms as Doris cannot see and Quang could not understand the form. Doris is walking better, her gait is steady and her step length has improved. She is managing the household very well. One of the Prison professor’s associates called Doris for a welfare check. Per Michael Santos’s recommendation was assigned to work with Doris and me, to help answer any concerns we might have and he provided some useful information about restitution. Bobo is better after Doris applied ointment on her legs, the sun is moving around much better, and eating too. Quang is well, remodeling Annie’s house and working as a trimmer, and dancing on weekends. He brought some moon cakes for me but was not allowed to bring them in for me to enjoy. the vending machine took $6 from us and did not give us the products which we paid for. I advised Doris to apply some ointment on her head to reduce the pain in her skull because she did not have enough sleep. Dr. Jasmine Lee recommended her to use some Melatonin to help her sleep at night or ask Dr. Scott Lee to prescribe some sleep medications. Doris dozed off during the visitation for about 30 minutes. Quang will be back to visit in Mid October. They left at 2:30 PM when the visitation concluded. They could not figure out how to use the GPS on the SUV, Maybe Chris could show Doris how to use The GPS.
Census was at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: meatloaf, bread, rice, corn, and punch. AAPI group had another dinner to finish the leftover baked fish, salad, and corn chips. ACE Classes – Neuroscience 4-4:30 PM and African History 5-5:50 PM. Read at the library between classes from 4:30 – 6:30 PM. Worked on my Daily Diary for 8/12/2023. This is my second month at Atwater Camp. Census Count at 7:35 PM. Cleaned up at 8:00 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
