8/6/2023 Sunday Daily Diary from Atwater camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up and brushed my teeth, changed to casual workout clothes, and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee, and watched the local news and weather channel, high temperature for today is 100 Degrees F. Started walking at 6:10 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:30 AM. Breakfast menu: Grits, muffins, apples, and punch.

- Stretch.
- Call Doris.
- Walk 6 miles.
- Email daily diary for 8/5/2023.
- Yoga.
- Quotations.
- ACE Classes: Music Industry 4-4:30 PM, Physiology and Fitness 5-5:30 PM, and Biology 6-6:30 PM.
Finished running at 7:30 AM. Walked 5.5 miles and ran 0.5. miles. The walk was peaceful and relaxing with the sunrise on the horizon. 7:30 – 9:00 PM, stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court. the yoga practice was tough but relaxing after it was done. Received our Inside and Out Certificate – EBRR class. I learned a lot from the class which I outlined in y Book Report. 10:30 AM Census count. Lunch was served after the count. Luncheon menu: scrambled eggs, French fries, toast with syrup, cantaloupe, and punch. Talked to Doris at 10:45 AM: Doris sounded well, with no asthma attack. No drama with the dogs. She said it will take some time to get information from the SF immigrant communities. She was busy with the crafts stuff. Getting ready for the upcoming shows. Michael Santos Posted the narrative for volunteer work for Pinole Senior Center and Meals on Wheels on my website. Prepared my EBRR Class report on Inside and Out. Washed laundry for Rosa and Edgar. T-shirt exchange for Rosa, Edgar, and Ali. Completed EBRR Class report at 12:00 PM. Emailed Class report for Inside and Out to the Prison professor and Doris at 1:30 PM. Read at the unit from 1:30 -3:30 PM. Census Count was at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Shredded chicken burger, Cole slaw and punch. After dinner, the AAPI had a dinner: Fish filet, rice, and Dr. Pepper. ACE Classes History of Music – 4-4:30 PM, Physiology and Fitness – 5-5:30 PM, and Biology – 6-6:30 PM. Read at the library from 4:30 – 7:00 PM in between classes. 7-7:30 PM, Will gave me a back massage for my sore back, felt great after the rub down. Read Doris’ Email about hesitancy from the SF Immigrant community, I told her we have to be prepared for obstacles from the communities for justice-impacted people. All we can do is keep on trying and trying until we are successful. Continue reading at the Unit from 8-9:30 PM. Cleaned up and brushed my teeth at 8:30 PM. Final census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good Day: Doris is well. Enjoyed the refreshing 6 miles walk amidst the sun rising on the horizon, a cool and tranquil setting. Practiced my Yoga, and felt very relaxed after the practice. Received my Inside and Out Certificate. Attended three ACE Classes. Lots to eat during dinner. We have to expect obstacles from the communities because of our felony convictions, but we just have to keep on trying to overcome them.
