The morning started out bright, breezy, hazy and warm. The lower atmosphere was hazy with plumes of black smoke in the Southern and Western horizons. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with analogous colors radiating out of the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the orange reddish sphere created a picturesque scene on the outline of the Sierras and it warmed the air. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were scurrying around begging for food from the inmates. William Uribe turned on the sprinklers for the soccer field and the rabbits moved to graze on the baseball field but the birds moved in to feed and showered on the soccer field. Walked 3 miles, jogged and sprinted the final three miles. Completed 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 10 minutes and 33 seconds. Average walking times were: 11 minutes and 46 seconds per mile or 1 minute and 57 seconds per lap. The pace was fast as I was sweating and had to walk extra laps to catch my breath and to cool down. Stretched and split stretched at the basketball court until 8:00 AM. I had to go to the front office to make 2000 copies for the commissary. Completed making copies at 9:00 AM. Delivered two packages for shipping to the warehouse for Magdaleno. Talked to CO Turner about: I need 12 reams of legal size papers for Magdaleno next time I make copies for her, inventory for inmates and supplies for sewing room. Ha asked me to come back tomorrow and get it from CO Zaleski. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:30 AM. Brought some cleaned uniforms, jackets and sheets to the sewing room. Talked to Doris at 10:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. She asked about the AC for visitation room, I told her it was fixed but still warm. She has her eye appointment tomorrow at 9:30 AM and aske me to call her after her appointment. She was out walking in the backyard. Her step length and symmetry have improved. Cleaned computer room. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8799 steps, 16.6 inches step length, symmetry was 63%. Yesterday was the 196th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She inquired if the AC for the Visitation room was fixed. I told her it was fixed but still warm. She will be out in the backyard to: enjoy the nice weather, walk without her cast, let the dogs out and enjoy her tomato plants. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: tortilla, ground chicken, green beans, apple and water. Went to sewing room to: repair pants for Rojo. Had a short nap. EBRR Class – Disability was cancelled because it was too hot in the library. GED/ESL tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: turkey, bread, rice, beans and water. ACE Class – Constitutional Law 5-5:30 PM and Commutational Awareness 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM.
