The horizon was hazy and filled with plumes of black smoke from the Pedro wild fire. Th morning started out bright, hazy with plumes of black smoke, slight breeze and cool. The dawn sky was on display with colors radiating out of the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the sun was a red sphere, effect from the smoke, the outline of the Sierras was hazy and it warmed the air. The rabbits were out grazing on the soccer and baseball fields while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The squirrels appeared after breakfast, they had a feast today because the inmates had lots of left over cake. William Uribe turned on the sprinkler for the soccer field but the rabbits and squirrels continued to graze on the soccer field. Walked 4 miles, jogged an sprinted the final two miles. Completed 6 miles walk at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 11 minutes and 12 seconds. Average walking times were: 11 minutes and 52 seconds per mile or 1 minute and 59 seconds per lap. The pace was fast as I was sweating and had to walk extra laps to catch my breath an to cool down. Stretched, split stretched and practiced my Yoga at the basketball court until 8:40 AM. The Yoga practice was good as I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized my trip to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Went with Steve to The durian stall in SS2, the stall was upgraded since I went there. It had air conditioned tasting room, ceiling fan to keep cool, refrigerator for beverages but most of all they had a huge selection of different varieties of durian, from durian kings from different plantations. The durian were delicious and so was the rambutans and mangosteen and other fruits. Opened my eyes to the Blue sky with white smoke. Cleaned the computer room. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well. She walked 9026 steps, 17.4 inches step length and symmetry was 72%. yesterday was the 191st consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She might go shopping with Diana today. Showered an changed to BOP uniform at 9:20 AM. Talked to Doris at 9:50 AM: Doris is well and rested. She was not happy about the cancelled visitation but she got over it. There was a wild fire in Berkeley and in Antioch thus affected the air quality. I told her to be careful when she is outdoors and to wear a face mask to protect against the smoke. No updates on my release date on the BOP website. She will walk indoors to stay away from the smoke. She will go shopping with Diana Today. Brough some cleaned uniforms and blankets to the sewing room. Jon brought two towels for the new inmate. Exchanged 2XL T shirts and socks for Jorge. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: hamburger, fries, an apple and water. Counselor Reyes informed me that the new self surrender inmate has been postponed until September. Had a short nap. GED/ ESL tutoring 12:00- 2:30 PM. Good GED tutoring session. Went to sewing room and completed 4 dozens pants. Completed 30 dozens, only 10 dozens left. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count.
