Sunrise, the tranquility, and the feeling of freedom doing what I enjoy. The animals; squirrels, rabbits, and frogs are always there to keep me company. Lunch was served at 10:30 AM. Luncheon menu: Tuna, salad, pudding, green beans, and punch. Talked to Doris at 11:00 AM: she sent the contacts for Pinole Senior Center and Meal on Wheels to Michael Santos to add it to my release plan. Diana was at the house with Doris to harvest the plants. Chris is really sick due to Covid and they will not be able to visit for a few weeks. kain and Mava will send their Visitation request by themselves. She inquired about the 2/3 time for elderly inmates. I told her I expect to be out sooner than that, possibly around Dec 2024 for home confinement. Counselor Reyes informed me that five new inmates will be joining us today, and I have to make the bed roll for them. Finished inmates’ laundry at 1:00 PM. Started washing Mops, rags, floor blankets, blankets, and sheets. 3:00 PM processed 5 new inmates and provided them with their bed rolls and BOP uniforms. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Bread, ground beef, corn, vegetable soup, pudding, and punch. ACE classes – Philosophy and existentialism 4-4:30 PM, Great Art 5-5:30 PM. Read in the library from 4:30 – 7:00 PM, in between classes. Back to the laundry room to dry up the mops and rags. I was so busy with laundry and processing the new inmates, that I could not practice my Yoga. Census count at 8:10 PM. Finish drying the mops and rags at 8:15 PM. Census count at 8:35 PM. Final census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a hectic but good day: Doris is well with her wholesale business. She contacted the SF Geriatric Center to inquire about my volunteer services. Diana was at the house helping her. Walked 6 Miles. Lots of laundry and processed 5 new inmates.
