The morning started out with a note that there will be a meeting with the Captain. The morning was bright, hazy, slight breeze and cool. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with analogous colors radiating out from the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. The crescent moon was in the mid sky moving towards the East. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the picturesque Sierra outline emerged and it warmed the air. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields while Labrona and her family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The Captain had the town hall meeting at 6:30 AM. He announced that contrabands were found in the trash bin during visitation this weekend. So new regulations will be enforced: no visitation this weekend, no cell phones allowed in visitation room, no waving goo bye at the corner of the fence, inmate their family and vehicles are subject to search. Breakfast was served at 6:40 AM. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were scurrying around the camp begging for food from the inmates. Walked 4 miles, jogged and sprinted the final two miles. Completed 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 10 minutes and 30 seconds. Average walking times were: 11 minutes and 45 seconds per mile or 1 minutes and 57 seconds per lap. The pace was fast as I was sweating and had to walk a few extra laps to catch my breath and to cool down. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:40 AM. The Yoga practice felt good with the breeze and I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my practice with the corpse pose and visualized out trip to Singapore. Our family went to a fruit stand to buy some durians, mangosteen, rambutans and langsats. There were some D-24 durians -Durian king and other durians. We decided to buy the D-24 durians, everyone liked it after trying it, including Kim. It was a fun time enjoying local delicacies. Opened my eyes to the Blue sky and the Crescent Moon, which was moving East. Th new phone policy – 6 AM – 4:00 PM During working hours only one phone will be available. After 4 PM all five phones will be operational. Since the phone was available, I called Doris at 9:00 AM: Doris is well. I told her about the cancelled visitation for this weekend, she could not bring her cell iPhone to the visitation room and we cannot wave good bye at the corner of the fence. She was not too happy with the cancelled visitation this weekend. i told her it is BOP policy and we just have to be resilient and work around it. As for the cell phone, she will just have to leave it in the car and have Norma pick her up at 2:30 PM. She will be out in the backyard today to: enjoy the nice weather, let the dogs out, walk without her cast and enjoy her tomato plants. I told her that her walking has improved: her step length and symmetry have improved. She said she worked hard to improve her walking. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:20 AM. Checked email form Doris: Doris is well. She walked 8353 steps, 16.1 inches step length an symmetry was 89%. Yesterday was the 190th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. As usual she will be in the backyard to walk, let the dogs out and enjoy her tomato plants. Went to sewing room: exchanged 2 2X T shirts and 6 Pairs of socks for Jorge, exchanged 1 2X T shirt for Prado and repaired my ripped pants. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: Chicken sandwich, rice, black beans, cake and water. Went to warehouse to secure required inventory. CO Turner told me we will not keep too much inventory, they will only issue what we need on that day, no excess inventory, because other CO’s were raiding the supplies. Help commissary unload merchandise for Commissary tomorrow. GED/ESL tutoring 12:00 -2:30 PM. Good Tutoring sessions.
