7/25/2023 Tuesday Daily Diary From Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:10 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform, and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee, and watched the local news and weather channel, high for today is 99 degrees F. Started the first three loads of washing at 5:20 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:10 AM. Breakfast menu: cereal, muffins, milk, apple, and punch. Started walking at 6:30 AM.

- ACE Class – Psychology at 4-4:30 PM.
Sewed a couple of belts for inmates for the penitentiary as requested by Counselor Reyes. The belts were thick and threads were breaking frequently, managed to get the belts sewn together. The National BOP committee will be visiting Atwater today per Counselor Reyes. Lunch was served at 10:30 AM. Luncheon menu: Chicken sandwich, pudding, lettuce, tomato, and punch. Called Doris at 10:45 AM: Doris had an asthma attack but her pills and nebulizer helped stabilize her asthma. Tomorrow is her Lasik surgery at 2:00 PM, But per her email, it was rescheduled to 11:00 AM. Property tax of $5500 is due in October. Showered at 11:00 AM. Washed my clothes at 11:15 AM. Finished inmates’ laundry at 12:00 PM. Started washing Mops and Rags for the Kitchen and the front lobby at 12:30 PM. Completed washing all the mops and rugs for the Kitchen and front lobby groups at 2:00 PM. Went to the library to read from 2:10 -3:20 PM. 3:30 PM Census count. Dinner was served after the census count. Dinner menu: Pasta w/ ground meat, corn, salad, bread, and punch. ACE Class – Psychology 4-4:30 PM, Religious History 5-5:30 PM. In between classes, read at the Library from 4:30 – 6:30 PM. Continue reading at the unit from 6:30 PM -9:00 PM. Census count 8:00 PM. Washed a load of rags for the barber shop at 8:10 PM. Signed up for another ACE class – Warehouse dock loading and construction safety – 7/26/2023 4-4:30 PM. Completed drying rags for barber shop at 8:15 PM. Cleaned up at 8:30 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is Okay and had the household in order, her Lasik surgery is scheduled for tomorrow. Walked 6 miles. Signed up for ACE class – Warehouse and construction safety.
