7/22/2023 Saturday Daily Diary from Atwater
Woke up at 5:10 AM. made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to casual for walking, and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee, and watched the local news and weather channel, high for today is 106 degrees F.
Plan for today:
- Doris’ visit is between 11 – 2:30 PM.
- Walk 6 Miles.
- EBRR Classes – Inside – Out, 8-10 AM, 11:30 – 3:30 PM.
- Email Daily Diary 7/21/2023.
- Read.
- Quotations.
Started walking at 6:00 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:20 AM. Breakfast menu: oatmeal, roll, apple, and punch. Completed walking 6 miles and stretched at 7:30 AM. Showered and changed to BOP uniform. EBRR Classes – Inside Out, 8-10:00 AM, and 11:30 – 3:30 PM. Headcount at 10:00 AM. Ms. Tianto was at the unit. Lunch was served at 10:00 AM. Luncheon menu: Shredded chicken burrito, beans, banana, and punch. 11:00 AM Emailed daily diary for 7/21/2023 to Prison Professor and Doris. EBRR Class form 11:30 – 3:30 PM. Doris and Mava arrived at the visitation center at 11:50 AM. She went to the Main Penitentiary before they came to the camp visitation center. The visit with Doris and Mava went well. Mava left us alone so she could do some reading at Mcdonald’s. The plants are Okay but need to be harvested soon. I told her to be aware of all types of scams out there: financial, romantic, POB, and other scams. I show her my barber Armando, whose family helped us pick some candies and soft drinks from the vending machine. Ryan to a picture of us at the visitation center, I will send them to Doris after I have them printed. Both Mava and Doris were pleased to see me in excellent health, they expected a haggard-looking me. Mava came back at 2:30 PM to pick Doris up. They left the visitation center around 2:45 PM. I went back to EBRR class after Doris left. The class was over at 3:00 PM, Headcount was at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the head count. Dinner Menu: Shredded Chicken, bread, lettuce, banana, chips, and punch. Went to the library to read from 4-7:00 PM. Emailed to medical for a refill of 800 mg Ibuprofen to maintain my back and arthritis pain. Showered at 7:45 PM. Headcount at 8:05 PM. Cleaned up. Headcount at 9:00 PM. Final headcount at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
