Started walking At 6:00 AM. Completed walking one Mile. Went to the warehouse to sign some documents for laundry work details and prepared inmate packages for incoming inmates at the main penitentiary from 7:00 – 8:45 AM. Started walking from 9:00 – 19:15 AM, and walked 5 more miles to complete my 6 miles walk for today. Lunch was served at 10:30 AM. Luncheon menu: chicken sandwich, pudding, carrots, green beans, and punch. Talked to Doris at 10:45 AM: She will visit tomorrow between 11-11:30 AM. Doris’s eye injection for her diabetes and Glaucoma went well and her vision is clearer, It should take a few weeks o see some results and she has to use the eye drops. Mava will be driving Doris to Atwater. She will have to wait in a McDonald’s until 2:30 PM for Doris. I told her to bring $10-$20 worth of quarters and her ATM card, as some machines will accept ATM cards. Showered at 11:30 AM. Washed my laundry at 11:45 AM. My hearing test request was sent for scheduling. Completed all laundry at 2:20 PM. Called Doris again: to tell her to bring dollar bills as most machines will accept dollar bills and to get here between 11 – 11:30 AM after lunch, as there are not much savory sandwiches just lots of pastry and soft drinks. Also, Mava won’t have to wait too long at McDonalds. 3:30 PM head count. Dinner was served after the count. AAPI had a dinner party: beef, rice, chips, and soft drinks. 4:00 – 6:30 PM back to the library for more reading. Watched the women’s soccer between USA and Vietnam. Headcount at 8:10 PM. Headcount at 8:50 PM. Final headcount at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: went to the warehouse to finalize my work details and prepare incoming packages for new inmates. Doris’ appointment went well. She will visit tomorrow from 11-2:30 PM. Walked 6 miles. ACE class – Indian Nations.
