The morning started out bright, calm, hazy and warm. The lower atmosphere was hazy with plumes of dark smoke on the Eastern, Southern and Western Horizons. The dawn sky was beautiful with analogous colors radiating out of the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. The haze made the dawn sky spectacular. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while LeBron and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were scurrying around the camp begging for food from the inmates. Walked three miles on the trail and completed three more miles on the treadmill in the exercise room because of the smoke. Completed 6 miles walk at 7:20 AM, in 1 hour 12 minutes and 12 seconds. The pace was fast as i was sweating. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:25 AM. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized my trip to Long Beach, California. It was a scenic coastline on Highway one. Th ocean view was fantastic and we walked on the trail along the coast, it was lined with exotic and unusual plants. Encountered several couples getting married on the vista points. Opened my eyes to the blue sky. Called Doris at 8:25 AM: Doris is well and rested. She was waiting for Norma to pick he Rup. I will try to call her later. Attended ACE Class Beginning Spanish 8:30 – 9:30 AM. The theme for today were Olympics and election – Olympidad y electiones. Tried to call Doris at 9:30 AM but could not connect. Lunch was served at 9:30 AM. Luncheon menu: sloppy Joes, buns, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, apple and water. Census count at 10:00 AM. Cleaned dup and changed to BOP uniform at 10:20 AM. Talked to Doris at 11:00 AM. She will be at the visitation room in 10 minutes. Doris arrived at the visitation room at 11:30 AM: Doris is well and rested. She was not using her hard cast and her walking was normalized. She had a scam call about her Etsy account but she was able to defray the scam. the esca was similar to examples I listed on my class report on Scams on Seniors. Ken and Diana harvested lots of plots, apples and Pluerry. Kein also harvested several large tomatoes for Doris, the tomato plants are doing well. Mariam is getting married in August and she will have her twins in October. We had Dr Pepper, water, Hershey chocolate, potato chips and Potato skin chips for snacks. The Visitation CO for today was Ms. Ramos. Bobo is well after consultation with the veterinarian. Doris will have the Pinole Senior Center gift show next Saturday and will contact Christina about my volunteer work for the center. I told her everything is predicated on my background check, interview and availability of positions. She is also contacting Pinole Library, Hercules Library, El Sobrante and El Cerrito libraries about teaching and tutoring positions. She also has Meal on Wheels but that would entail lots of driving. I might be interested as a tour guide for Pinole Senior Center for trips. She will lave eight more biweekly visitation left before my release to Half Way house on 12/2/2024. She liked my Book and Class Reports as they help inform her, i.e Scam on Elders. She also liked my latest Book Report on Symphony. Michael Santos featured me on his U Tube video about me self advocating for early release by: journaling, book reports, class reports, working, tutoring, enrolled and completed multiples courses. I have to admit my efforts are slowly paying off in terms of early release. Doris left the visitation center at 2:45 PM. It was a very good visitation. She hope I will be out before 12/2/2024, I told her not to her expectations too high. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Roast beef, mixed vegetables, mashed potatoes with gravy, bread and water. ACE Class Building Permit Process 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM.
