Because of the International Internet outage, the camp was on lockdown. The gates were closed and we were confined to the dormitory an the camp compound. Started walking inside the camp compound. The morning started out bright, hazy especially the Eastern horizon which had plumes of dark smoke. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with colors radiating out from the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. As the sun rise over the Sierras, it illuminated the clouds near the sun turning them to peach and yellow color with golden edges. As the sun rise into the plumes of dark smoke, it reduced the suns intensity. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were scurrying around the camp begging for food from the inmates. The population of the rabbits and squirrels have exploded in the last few months. There were talking about eliminating their population but in a humane way excluding poison and killing them. So they really do not have a solution yet. Completed 6 miles walk at 7:50 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 24 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 24 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. The pace was normal. The camp compound was crowded thus I did not do my split stretch or practice my Yoga. I decided to finish reading my book on Symphony and the Economist. Th lockdown was lifted at 9:00 AM. Cleaned the computer room. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8267 steps, 16.6 inches step length and symmetry was 75%.
