7/17/2023 Monday Daily Diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Cleaned up, Made up my bed, changed into my BOP uniform, and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee, and watched the local news and weather channel, high for today is 106 degrees F.
Plan for today:
- Stretch.
- Laundry duties.
- Call Doris.
- Walk 6 Miles.
- Email 7/16/2023 Daily Diary to Prison Professor and Doris.
- Read.
First load in the washer at 5:45 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:30 AM. Started walking at 6:50 AM. Finished walking at 8:40 AM. I showered at 9:30 AM. Lunch was served at 10:30 AM. Luncheon menu: 2 beef tacos, beans, cheese, banana, and punch. Called Doris at 10:45 AM, no answer, probably at Dr. Scott Lee. Washed my Laundry at 10:20 AM. Emailed daily diary for 7/16/2023 to prison professor and Doris. Called Doris at 11:20 AM. Finished my laundry at 11:50 AM. Continue washing mops and dirty rags from the kitchen. Talked to Doris at 12:30 PM: She was at Dr Scott Lee, and she had diabetes and glaucoma in her eyes, hopefully, the injection scheduled for Friday 7/21/2023 will help resolve her problem. Kain will be by to fix the sprinkler system, he needed to get some parts. I told her the visitation pass will be ready before this weekend. I asked her to take care of her asthma. It was warm in the Bay Area 85 degrees F.
Finished Mop and Rags at 1:30 PM. Processed a couple of new inmates as they got to the camp. prepared my commissary list and turned it into Jon. Processed 8 more new inmates that just arrived at the camp today from 2:30 – 3:20 PM. Headcount at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after headcount. Dinner menu; spaghetti and ground beef, collard greens, salad, bread, and punch. Went to the library to read from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. Submitted a sick call out to the medical unit for a hearing test for my ears. Signed up for another ACE class – Religious History 7/18/2023 5:00 – 6:00 PM. Read form 7:00 – 8:30 PM. Headcount at 8:00 PM. Headcount at 8:30 PM. Final headcount at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is well and her eye appointment went well. Signed up for the new ACE class – Religious History on 7/18/2023 5-6 PM. Walked 6 miles. Submitted sick call out for a hearing test to the Medical unit. Kain fixed the sprinkler system. Visitation passes will; be approved by this week.
