The morning started out bright, hazy with plumes of smoke in the Eastern horizon, windy and cool. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with analogous colors radiating out of the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. The sun illuminate the plume of smoke turning it to brown, mauve an orange color. Also the Sierras was picturesque with all the colors form the haze. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. William Uribe turned on the sprinkler for the soccer field an the rabbits moved to graze on the baseball field. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were scurrying around the camp begging for food from the inmates. Today was commissary day, unfortunately they did not have much stuff as the penitentiary has been lockdown for three weeks and camp commissary has no access to the merchandise. Walked 5 miles, jogged and sprinted the final mile. Completed 6 miles walk at 7:30 AM in 1 hour 11 minutes and 30 seconds. Average walking times were: 11 minutes and 55 seconds per mile or 1 minute and 59 seconds per lap. The pace was fast as I was sweating and had to walk a few extra laps to catch my breath and to cool down. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:40 AM. The breeze felt good during the Yoga practice but I had to work harder to maintain my balance. Also I was counting in Spanish while holding my pose. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose, visualized my trip to San Diego at the Del Coronado hotel. Strolling through the town with small well maintained houses with manicured lawns, walking on the sandy beaches and walking by several beach front properties, the beautiful plants at the hotel, had a nice lunch and ice cream to finish our lunch. Opened my eyes to the Blue sky. Cleaned the computer room. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8766 steps, 16.2 inches step length and symmetry was 85%. Yesterday was the 177th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She spent $400 at the veterinarian for Bobo. Bobo has some growth that will cost $5-6K to remove. The Growth are non life threatening. She will be in the back yard to: enjoy the nice weather, walk without her cast, let the dogs out and enjoy her tomato plants. Had some crackers, celery and an apple for snacks. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:30 AM. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: Hamburger, salad, an apple and water. Secured authorization from Counselor Reyes to replace the fan in the laundry/sewing room. Went to Unicor with David Crisp to exchanged the fan. Talked to Doris at 10:50 AM: Doris is well. I told her I will support her decision on Bobo. She will be out in the backyard to: enjoy the nice weather, walk without her cast, let the dogs out and enjoy her tomato plants. GED/ ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Good tutoring sessions. Happy delivered 40 dozens pants for hemming and picked up the hemmed pants. Sorted out pants size with inseams. Completed 4 dozen pants. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: scrambled eggs, biscuit with gravy, grits, fries and water. Received a Spanish – English Bilingual book form Karlee. It is a science fiction book with English translation. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
