The morning started out bright, some clouds over the Sierras, windy and cool. The lower atmosphere was hazy. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with analogous colors radiating out from the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. The haze made the colors more distinct. As the sun rise over the Sierras, it illuminated the clouds turning them to Peach color with reddish orange edges and the outline of the Sierras was picturesque. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were begging for food from the inmates all over the camp. Completed 6 miles walk at 7:30 AM, walked 5 miles, jogged and sprinted the final mile. Finished walk in 1 hour 11 minutes and 05 seconds. Average walking times were: 11 minutes and 52 seconds per mile or 1 minutes and 59 seconds per lap. The pace was fast as I was sweating and had to walk a few extra laps to catch my breath and to cool down. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:40 AM. The wind felt good during the practice but I had to work to maintain my balance. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, balance, flexibility and breathing. The added challenge for today practice was to hold my poses and counted in Spanish , uno, dos, tres, quatro …. cientoVeinte. I had to hold my poses longer. Completed my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized my trip to Reno at the Silver Legacy and Circus Circus casinos. Gambled some Pai Gow poker, black jack and had a scrumptious dinner buffet. Saw the trapeze act at Circus Circus. Opened my eyes to the Blue sky. Cleaned the computer room. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8773 steps, 16.2 inches step length and symmetry was 83%. Yesterday was the 176th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Francis will bring Bobo to the Veterinarian today at 11:30 AM. Since the weather is nice, she will be in the backyard to: enjoy the weather, walk without her cast, let the dogs out and enjoy her tomato plants. Diana an Doris will pack their merchandise for the Pinole Senior Center Gift Show next week. Had a breakfast bar, an apple and celery for snacks. Counselor Reyes told me next new inmates will surrender themselves on 7/19/2024. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:45 AM. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Went to sewing room: brought some cleaned uniforms, exchanged 3 blankets for Abbas and altered shirts for Frank. Talked to Doris at 10:50 AM: Doris is well and rested.
