The morning started out bright, overcast, breezy and cool. The sun was shielded by the thick clouds and the temperature was lower. The rabbits were out grazing on the soccer and baseball field, while LeBron and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The squirrels appeared after breakfast, running around the camp begging for food from the inmates. Walked 5 miles, jogged and sprinted the final mile. Completed 6 miles walk at 7:30 AM, in 1 hour 11 minutes and 9 seconds. Average walking times were: 11 minutes and 52 seconds per mile or 2 minutes per lap. The pace was fast as I was sweating an had to walk a couple of laps to catch my breath and cool down. The walk was nice in the breeze. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:25 AM. The yoga practice felt good as I was able to exercise all phases: strength, balance, flexibility an breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized my trip to Sitting Bull National Monument, South Dakota. The monument was a lot bigger than the presidents face in Mount Rushmore, it was a grand monument, a tribute to Sitting Bull. Opened my eyes to the overcast sky. Attended the Beginning Spanish class 8:30 – 9:30 AM. Theme for today was Geography (geographical) and Movies / Plays/ theater (Pellicular/ obra / teatro). Had some nuts, donuts and an apple for snacks. Lunch was served at 9:30 AM. Luncheon menu: scrambled eggs, biscuits with gravy, an apple, mashed potatoes and water. Census count at 10:00 AM. Talked to Doris at 10:10 AM: Doris is well and rested. She was walking without the hard cast, but she slightly nervous but felt confident that she can walk without the cast. Diana came by to harvest some tomatoes as her tomato plants were dead. The BOP has not updated my release date yet. She will visit me next week. She asked bout the temperature today, I told her it was overcast in the morning but will get to 98 degrees F today. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8796 steps, step length was 16.4 inches and symmetry was 73%. yesterday was the 173rd consecutive days she closed the ring on he iPhone. She looked through her email and my release date was updated on 6/9/24 at 7/5/2026. She asked me to check with our counselor about the discrepancies. I told her that there are no one we can contact in BOP to inquire about our release date. She asked about my plans for today, I told her I was working on my book report on ‘ How to live in a car, van or RV’. It is an interesting topic and we hope we don’t have to resort to it. But Karlee and Chris liked the idea of living and traveling in a van.. She will be out in the backyard to: enjoy the nice weather, walk around without her cast, let the dogs out an admire her tomato plants. Showered and changed to casual clothes at 11:00 AM. Had a long nap. Went to library to work on my book report. Completed my book report. Census count at 3:30 PM. It was overcast all day but it was still warm. Dinner was served after the count.
