7/12/2023 Wednesday Diary from Atwater camp
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Cleaned up, made up bed, made a cup of coffee, and changed to BOP uniform. Stretched, drank my coffee, and watch the local news and weather channel, high for today is 102 degrees F. Started first load of wash at 5:45 AM.
Plan for Today:
- 9-12 PM Sick Bay about Hearing Test.
- Walk 6 miles.
- Call Doris.
- Email 7/11/2023 Diary.
- Book report Testosterone for Life.
Breakfast was served at 6:10 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, Roll, Milk, and Punch. Started walking at 7:15 – 7:35 AM, and walked 2 miles. The gate was locked from 7:40 – 8:15 AM, looking for an inmate. 9:00 AM Emailed Daily Diary for 7/11/2023 to Prison Professor and Doris. Started walking from 9:15 -10:25 AM and walked 2 more miles. Lunch was served at 10:30 AM. Luncheon menu: Hamburger, Fries, apple, and punch. Called Doris at 11:00 AM: She had an asthma attack but used the nebulizer to control her symptom. No news on the visitation pass. It will be 113 degrees F this weekend, might not be good to visit. Her appointment with Dr. Scott Lee is on 7/14/2023 Friday. She is working with several nursing homes to see if they need my volunteer services. Check with the Medical unit at 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM, but no one showed up. Finished laundry at 1:25 PM. Went to the library to read from 1:30 – 2:30 PM. Rest at the unit. The headcount was at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after that. Dinner menu: Shredded turkey, salad, beans, beet, and punch. Started reading at the library from 4:00 -7:00 PM. Finished reading Testosterone for Life and completed the book report. Had some ramen, rice, and shredded chicken to supplement my dinner. Headcount at 7:40 PM. Sent my book report on Testosterone for Life to Prison Professor and Doris at 8:30 PM. Headcount at 8:40 PM. Showered at 9:00 PM. Final headcount at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today is a productive day: Lots of laundry, sewing, and hemming are done. Doris is well albeit with the aid of the nebulizer. Walked 6 miles. I finished reading and reporting for Testosterone for Life. Emailed Book Report to Prison Professor and Doris.
