The morning started out bright, clear, breezy and warm. The lower atmosphere was hazy and the Southern and Western horizons were filled with plumes of black smoke. The sun was over the Sierras but the sun had a reddish orange halo from the haze. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields and Labrona and her family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were busy running around the camp begging for food from the inmates. William Uribe turned the sprinklers on at the soccer field and the rabbits moved to graze on the baseball field. I walked two miles on the trail and completed my workout in the training room. Completed my workout at 7:30 AM, in 1 hour 12 minutes and 24 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 4 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 2 second per lap. The pace was fast as I jogged and sprinted the final mile. My heart rate reached 148 BPM and I was drenched. I went to the basketball court to stretch, split stretch and practiced Yoga until 8:40 AM. Th yoga practice was nice in the breeze. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose, visualized my trip to Jackson Hole Wyoming. Beautiful scenic cowboy town and very friendly people. We looked for a place to have coffee and a gentleman directed us to a bar who also serves coffee. They charged us $2.80 for 7 coffee and they brewed it fresh for us. We visited the town square with arches made form antlers, had a nice American lunch and ice cream. Opened my eyes to the grayish blue sky. Cleaned the computer room. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8366 steps, 16.5 inches step length and symmetry was 75%. Yesterday was the 171st consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. The cleaners will clean the house today. She will be in the backyard to: enjoy the weather, walk, let the dogs out and admire her tomato plants. Still no update on BOP website on my release date. Counselor Reyes informed me, we will have two new new inmates today but one of them will delay reporting until 8/4/2024. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:30 AM. Went to sewing room to: prepare bus bags for new inmate, exchanged 3 2XL T shirts for Amendola, exchanged 40X32 Pants, XL, 2X shirts for Jorge, exchanged 2-L shirts and 4-L boxers for J Torres and shortened sweat pants to shorts for Cody Carlson and exchanged 7 pairs of socks for Ohanian. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: baked chicken, mashed potatoes, carrots, bread, apple and water. They provided us with a bagged dinner. Talked to Doris at 10:50 AM: Doris is well and rested. The cleaners finished cleaning the house. No update on my release date. Diana’s tomato plants are dead, Doris had to share some tomato with her. The temperature in the Bay Area was about 60 degrees F, compared to 108 degrees F in Atwater. Had a short nap. GED/ ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. The new inmate turned up at the camp at 1:40 PM. We processed him. Census count at 3:30 PM. Ate the packaged sandwich for dinner. ACE Class Entrepreneur 5-5:30 PM. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census Count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
