The morning started out bright, clear, slight breeze and warm. The lower atmosphere was hazy with plumes of black smoke on the Southern and Western horizons. The sun was over the Sierras and the intensity was shielded by the haze, however it gives coloration to the plumes of smoke. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the baseball court. The squirrels appeared after breakfast, running all over the camp begging for food from the inmates. William Uribe turned on the sprinklers on the soccer field an the rabbits moved to graze on the baseball field. After walking 2 miles on the trail, I completed my walk in the training room. Completed 6 miles walk at 7:30 AM, in 1 hour 12 minutes and 18 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 3 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 1 second per lap. The pace was fast as I increased the speed on the final mile. My heart rate reached 142 BPM and I was drenched. I went out to the basketball court to stretch, split stretch and practice my Yoga. Practiced Yoga until 8:40 AM. The Yoga practice felt good in the breeze and I exercised every phases: strength, balance, flexibility and breathing. Completed my practice with a corpse pose, visualized my trip to East Rim of the Grand Canyon. Saw the Colorado River, deep canyons, hiked around the rim and ascended the watch tower. Enjoyed the beautiful view of the canyon and Colorado river from the watch tower. Opened my eyes to the hazy blue sky. Helped the commissary staff unload merchandise for the commissary store tomorrow. Had some donuts and an apple for snacks. Cleaned the computer room. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8666 steps, 16.7 inches step length and symmetry was 76%. Yesterday was the 169th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone.
