7/6/2024 Saturday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today 113 degrees F. Started walking at 6:05 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:35 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, cake, milk, sugar, an apple and water ( Harina de avena, torta, leche, ezucar, un manzana y agua).

The morning started out bright, hazy, calm and warm. The sun was over the Sierras and the beautiful dawn sky was son display with colors radiating out from the sun path: red, orange, yellow, light blue and blue sky. The lower atmosphere was hazy from the smoke an high pressure. There was a plume of dark smoke on the Western horizon. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, but Labrona and family were grazing by the fence near the basketball court. The squirrels appeared just before breakfast and were scurrying around the camp begging for food from the inmates. After walking two miles, I felt some throat irritation from the smoke and decided to finish my workout in the exercise room. Completed 6 miles walk at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 13 minutes and 24 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 14 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 2 seconds per lap. I was sweating from the workout in the training room. Practiced my Yoga at the training room until 8:20 AM. The practice felt good as I was able to exercise all phases: strength, breathing, flexibility and balance. Finished my practice with the corpse pose and visualized my trip to Yosemite National park, enjoyed the drive through all the granite structures like Half Dome, El Capitan and Bridal Veil falls, the nice vegetation and the clean air. Opened my eyes to the ceiling of the training room. Had a z cake, chips and an apple for snacks. Talked to Doris: Doris is well and she is waiting for Norma. She will bring face mask because of the wild fire. I will call for ETA later. Attended Beginning Spanish Class 8:30 – 9:30 AM. Called Doris at 9:15 AM: Doris and Norma are on their way, their ETA is 11:15 AM. Checked email from Doris at 9:20 AM: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8126 steps, 16.5 Inches step length and symmetry was 72%. Yesterday was the 166th consecutive days she close ditch ring on her iPhone. She will visit me today and asked that I call for the ETA. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:40 AM. Census count at 10:00 AM. there were several miscounts and we were delayed until 11:00 AM. I had a ramen, Mackerel, rice and an apple for lunch. Lunch was served at 11:15 AM. I gave my lunch to Happy. Doris was at the visitation room at 11:15 AM, but had to wait until count was cleared and all the visitors were cleared. Finally I get to visit with Doris at 11:45 AM. Doris is well and rested. She was prepared for the heat and smoke. I told her the air was bad today and yesterday because of the wild fires in the vicinity, I had to workout in the training room to avoid the smoky air. Kein got into an accident without his driver’s license, so he has to sort it out with DMV. Kein and Oralia came by the house to harvest lots of plums and plouts. Francis could not bring Bobo to the veterinarian because of work. Doris had to reschedule the appointment. Doris has appointment next week with Dry. Jasmine Lee about her asthma and on July 25, she has an appointment with Dry. Yang for shots to her knee. Eric the handyman wanted to charge Doris $9,500 to paint the house, it was an exorbitant price to paint the house. I told her my half way house exit date was 12/2/2024, she had a premonition I will exit in October 2024. Let’ hope she is correct. She told Francis to vacate the house before I come home. The cleaners will charge $400 to clean up his mess. Moreover the amount of space he rented is way too cheap for $500 per month. We had Dry Pepper, water, chips, Milky Way and crackers for snacks. Eric was helping Patricia to organize Crystal’s wedding. I told her I will not be able to travel to Canada or Australia because of my Felony record. But I will be able to get on the cruise ship after my probation end in Decemvir 2027 or earlier if I can get DOJ to reduce my probation time. She like to travel to some of the National Parks which I mentioned in my journals. We might be able to do that if our probations officer let me travel. We had a very good visitation today. I told her I will be in the half way house after 10 more visitations. CO Mason was incharged of visitation today. Doris left the visitation room at 2:45 PM. I had a short nap. Census count at 3:30 PM and we had a miscount. Dinner was served before the count in a To Go Box. ACE Class Building Permit 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 7:30 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a very good day: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8126 steps, 16.5 inches step length an symmetry was 72%. Yesterday was the 166th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Walked 6 miles, split stretched and practiced Yoga. Attended ACE Classes. Had a very good visitation with Doris.
