The morning started out bright, clear except for a plume of black smoke, windy and warm. The beautiful dawn sky was on display with colors radiating out from the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light blue and blue sky. There was plume of black smoke from the South, possibly the Fresno fire. The rabbits were grazing at the soccer and baseball fields. Labrona and her family were grazing inside and outside of the fence by the basketball court. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and they were running all over the camp begging for food from the inmates. William Uribe turned on the sprinklers on the soccer field and the rabbits moved to graze on the baseball field, but the birds mover in to shower. Walked 5 miles and jogged the final mile. Completed 6 miles walk at 7:30 AM, in 1 hour 12 minutes and 42 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 7 seconds per mile or 2minutes and 1 second per lap. The pace was fast as i sweated and had to walk extra laps to cool down. Stretched, split stretched and practice Yoga at the basketball court until 8:40 AM. The Yoga practice felt good as I was able to exercise all phases: strength, balance, flexibility and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with a corpse pose, visualized our trip to Moab, a nice mid western town and had a very good steak dinner with some Testarossa wine. Opened my eyes to the blue sky. I had to go to the front office to make 2000 copies for Commissary. Completed the copy assignment at 10:20 AM, brought a package for Magdalano to the warehouse an rushed to the mass hall for lunch. Luncheon menu: hamburger, beans, an apple and water. Talked to Doris at 10:50 AM: Doris is well an rested. She was out in the yard cleaning up the fallen plums from the ground. She let the dogs out and will walk after cleaning the yard. I told her I will be busy with GED, sewing and custom alteration work. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8766 steps, 16.1 inches step length and symmetry was 72%. yesterday was the 163rd consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She read my Book Report on ‘The Fall and Rise of China’ an she enjoyed it. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 11:00 AM. Counselor informed me that we will not have any new inmates until 7/10/2024, we expect 1 or 2 self surrenders. Went to the sewing room: customized 2 pairs of 40X30 pants for Jorge, Exchanged 2X shirt, 2 pairs of 40X27 pants, Belt, Laundry bag and hanger strap for Frank 9L. GED/ ESL tutoring was cancelled because of Unit Team meeting. Went to sewing room and completed hemming 4 more dozens of pants. today was commissary day but I did not get anything, still waiting for a good pair of running shoes. census count at 3:30 PM.
