6/24/2024 Monday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 100 degree F. Started walking at 6:00 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:15 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, cake, banana, milk, sugar and water (harina de avena, platano, torta, leche, ezucar y agua)

The morning started out bright, clear, calm and warm. the sun was over the Sierras and analogous colors radiated out form the sun. The rabbits were grazing at the soccer and baseball fields. Labrona and family were grazing outside the fence.. The full moon was sin the mid sky. The lower atmosphere was slightly hazy and made the Sierras picturesque. William Uribe turned on the sprinklers on the soccer field and the rabbits moved to the baseball field, but the sprinklers attracted some birds who were having a shower. the squirrels appeared after breakfast, they were running around the camp begging for food from the inmates. As the morning progressed the air warmed up and a slight breeze developed making the morning walk enjoyable. Completed six miles walk at 7:30 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 8 seconds. The average walking times were: 12 minutes and 22 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. the pace was adequate. Stretched, Split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:30 AM. The Yoga practice felt good as I exercised all phase: strength, balance, flexibility and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose visualizing out trip to Estes Park Colorado, enjoying the beautiful aspen, clean air and snow on the mountain peaks. Opened my eyes to the clear blue sky and the full moon in the mid sky. We had a call out for money Smart class at 8:00 AM, but we already completed the class. Had some nuts, nutty bar and an apple for snacks. Cleaned the computer room. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8665 steps, 16.7 Inches step length and symmetry was 78%. Yesterday was the 154th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She will spend time outside the backyard to: enjoy the nice weather, walk, let the dogs out and admire her tomato plants. She will call DOJ to inquire about the restitution surcharge. She will clean her sewing room and her room. Talked to Counselor Reyes and showed him the court ordered garnishments of my brokerage account and my savings account. Mr Reyes will contact the Eastern District to ensure the restitution and fines were satisfied so he could stop the Garnishment of my commissary account. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:20 AM. Went to sewing room: sew my pillow and added more filling, exchanged 2 laundry bags and pillow case for George 10U, brought cleaned uniforms and measured Farhad for his pants. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: chili cheese fries, an apple, carrots and water. The squirrels were having a feast as the inmates were feeding them. Went to sewing room: to finish measuring for Farhad and showed Happy how to customize pants, repaired uniforms and put away uniforms. Talked to Doris at 10:50 AM: Doris is well and rested. She was out in the backyard to: enjoy the nice weather, walk, let the dogs out and admiring her tomato plants. Several tomatoes were turning red, but she will let them ripen on the vines for a few more days. She called DOJ but was not able to talk to Eric Chang. She will try again to talk to him. She will be home cleaning her room. I told her I was busy with some custom work. Went to sewing room to show Happy how to customize pants for Farhad. GED/ ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Happy completed the customization for Farhad. Census count at 3:30PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: pepper beef, rice, carrots, bread and water.. ACE Class – Advanced Financial Planning 5-5:30 PM. Census count at 7:30 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
