6/19/2024 Wednesday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 88 degrees F. Started walking at 5:50 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:20 AM. Breakfast menu: Cereal, cake, an apple, milk, sugar and water (cereal, torta, un manzana, leche, ezucar y agua).

The morning started out bright, clear, calm and cool. The dawn sky was on display with beautiful colors radiating from the sun’s path: red, orange, yellow, light blue and blue sky. The rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields and Labrona was grazing out the fence. The lower atmosphere was hazy, As the sun rise over the Sierras, the orange sphere brightened the sky and warmed the air. The squirrels appeared after breakfast running around the camp begging for food from the inmates. As the morning progressed a slight breeze developed. The ambience was good for walking. Walked 5 miles and jogged the final mile. completed six miles walk at 7:30 AM, in 1 hour 12 minutes and 30 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 5 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and one second per lap. The pace was fast as i was sweating and had to walk a few laps to catch my breath and cooled down. Stretched, split stretched an practiced my Yoga at the basketball court until 8:40 AM. The Yoga practice was odd as I was able to exercise all phases: strength, balance, flexibility and breathing. Finished my practice with the corpse pose and visualized my trip to Banff in Canada walking through town with the beautiful and clean air around us. Opened my eyes to the beautiful blue sky. Checked email form Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 9488 steps, 16.6 inches step length and symmetry was down to 68%. Yesterday was the 149th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. The contractor will be over in the morning at 7:00 AM to finish cleaning the backyard and slope. She will be out in the backyard to : enjoy the nice weather, walk, let the dogs out and look at the tomatoes plants. Karlee and Doris will be visiting me on Saturday 6/22/2024. I had a nutty bar, nuts and an apple for snacks. One of the squirrel was call for her baby or mate by the dormitory. Talked to Doris at 9:40 AM. Doris is well and rested. The contractor already started working in the backyard. Diana might come by the house today for shopping. Th backyard looks good after the contractor removed the weeds and over grown ivy. The dogs are doing well and feisty, fighting over food. The tomato plants are doing well and the tomatoes are turning red, she will let them ripen on the plant before harvesting them. She will be busy pricing her merchandise for the show. Census count at 10:00 AM. Lunch was served after the count. Luncheon menu: Baked chicken, macaroni and cheese, black eye peas, green beans, bread, watermelon and water. Nice luncheon for Juneteenth holiday. The squirrels were having a feast as the inmates were feeding them. There must be over 150 – 200 squirrels in the camp and 100-150 rabbits in the camp. Showered and changed to casual clothes at 11:00 AM. Had a nap. Went to library to work on my Spanish lessons. Dinner was served at 2:30 PM. Dinner menu: 2 hot dogs, Cole slaw and potatoes chips. Census count at 3:30 PM. ACE Class Economic Theory 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 7:30 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day. Doris is well and rested. The contractor completed cleaning the backyard. She walked 9488 steps, 16.6 Inches step length and symmetry was 68%.
