The morning started out bright, clear, windy and cool. Th beautiful dawn sky was son display with the analogous colors radiating out from the suns path: red, orange, yellow, light green and light blue sky. Th rabbits were grazing on the baseball field but Labrona and her family were grazing outside the fence. As the sun rise over the Sierras, it brightened the sky, warmed the air and made the sky a darker shade of blue. The squirrels appeared after breakfast and were running around the camp begging for food from the inmates. William Uribe turned on the sprinkler for the soccer field and the birds were having fun showering. The lower atmosphere was hazy from the smog. Walked 5 miles and jogged the final mile with William Uribe. Completed 6 miles walk at 7:30 AM, in 1 hour 10 minutes and 23 seconds. Average walking times were 11 minutes 44 seconds per mile or 1 minute and 54 seconds per lap. The pace was fast as I sweated and had to walk a few laps to get my heart rate down and to catch my breath. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court in the morning sunshine until 8:30 AM. The Yoga practice felt good. Cleaned the computer room. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8763 steps, 15.7 inches step length and symmetry was 86%. Yesterday was the 143rd consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Her left eye was improving after the surgery. She will be busy making more merchandise for her gift shows. Counselor informed me, that we will have an inmate coming out of the SHU and assigned him to bunk #61U. We will have two new self surrender inmates joining us tomorrow. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:20 AM. Inmate from the SHU arrived at the camp at 9:40 AM. I processed him. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: baked chicken, pasta, green beans and water. Talked to Doris at 10:45 AM: Doris is well and rested. She talked to DOJ but was not able to talk to Eric Chang. She will call back later. She changed one tire for the Mazda. Kein harvested lots of tomatoes and apricots yesterday. Her eye is getting better, I told her it will take a few weeks for it to get better and heal properly. I told her the televisions are still blacked out and I have to get my weather report from the radio. I told her I had to to the warehouse to secure more merchandise for the sewing room. Went to sewing room: exchanged belt for Jesus and Rojo. Administered pre GED test for Montiero. Went to warehouse with Happy. John Liu delivered the merchandise, brought more pants for hemming and picked up hemmed pants. Put away the merchandise in the sewing room, sized pants for hemming, repaired uniforms. GED/ ESL Tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Graded Pre GED examination and administered a second Pre GED for Montiero. Montiero did well on both examinations.
