6/10/2024 Daily Diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 94 degrees F. Started walking at 5:50 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:10 AM. Breakfast menu: oatmeal, cake, milk, sugar, an apple and water ( Harina de avena, torta, leche, ezucar, un manzana y agua).

The morning started out bright, windy, clear and cool. the beautiful dawn sky was on display with beautiful analogous colors radiating out of the suns path; red, orange, yellow, light green and light blue sky. The rabbits were grazing on the baseball field and Labrona was grazing outside the fence. As the sun rise over the Sierras, it brightened the sky, warmed the air and made the sky darker blue. The squirrel appeared after breakfast running around the camp begging for food. The morning walk was refreshing. Completed six miles walk at 7:30 AM. Stretched and split stretched at the basketball court until 7:50 AM. Had some Cheezit, chocolate and an apple for snacks. Attended EBRR class – Money Smart for Older Adults from 8:00 – 9:00 AM. Secretary Mrs Chavez informed me we won’t have any new inmates until 6/14/2024, when we might have two self surrenders. Talked to Case Manager Larsen about John Liu’s pattern score, he asked John Liu to see him on Friday and he will provide the pattern score to him. Cleaned the computer room. Checked email from Doris: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8699 steps, 16.5 inches step length and symmetry was 76%. Yesterday was the 140th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:30 AM. Talked to Doris at 10:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. She talked to DOJ but Eric Chang will not be available until Wednesday. She will call again on Wednesday and will draft an email to Eric Chang concerning the litigation surcharge. She will go outside today to : enjoy the nice weather, walk, let the dogs out and look at the tomato plants. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: chicken fajitas, corn, rice, beans, an apple and water. Had a nap. Went to sewing room to: repair pants for Cesar, sewed pouches for Reyes,exchanged 4- 2x and 5 XL boxers for EW 10 and repaired uniforms for penitentiary. GED/ ESL tutoring 12:00 – 2:30 PM. Went to sewing room to fabricate Tablet Holster for Paul Mata. Census count at 3:30 PM.Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: chili, rice, mixed vegetables, bread and water. ACE Class Advanced Financial Planning 5-6:00 PM. Census count at 7:30 PM. Census count at 8:30 PM. cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.

Today was a good day: Doris is well and rested. Doris walked 8699 steps, 16.5 Inches step length and symmetry was 76%. Yesterday was the 140th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She contacted DOJ and will talk to Eric Chang on Wednesday. Walked 6 miles and split stretched. Attended EBRR and ACE Classes. Good GED/ ESL tutoring sessions.
