6/9/2024 Sunday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 93 degrees F. Started walking at 5:50 AM. No Breakfast today as the CO did not show up for work.

The morning started out bright, breezy, some cirrus clouds in the sky and cool. The dawn sky was on display with the beautiful colors radiating out from the suns path, The clouds near the path were turned to peach color with golden edges. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the golden sphere illuminated the sky, warmed the air and started to burn off the clouds. The rabbits were grazing at the soccer and baseball fields. Labrona and her family were grazing outside the fence. The squirrels appeared during breakfast time but were disappointed, no inmates had food for them. Walked 5 miles and jogged the final mile. Completed six miles walk at 7:30 AM, in 1 hour 9 minutes and forty six seconds. Average walking times were: 11 minutes and 38 seconds per mile or 1 minute and 56 seconds per lap. The pace was fast and I sweated. I had to walk a few laps to cool down and catch my breath. Stretched, split stretched and practiced my Yoga in the basketball in the morning sunlight until 8:25 AM. Had an apple, donuts and nuts for snacks. Attended Advanced Spanish class from 8:30 – 9:30 AM. theme for today was camp terminology. Checked email from Doris at 9:50 AM: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8699 steps, 17.6 inches step length and symmetry was 78%. Yesterday was the 139th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She was reading the court order about the garnishment surcharge, so she could talk to Eric Chang. She enjoyed the visitation yesterday. She will stay at home and stay in the backyard to: enjoy the nice weather, walk, let the dogs out and enjoy her tomato plants. Talked to Doris at 10:00 AM: Doris is well and rested, She will stay home to work on her inventory. I told her we did not have breakfast because the CO did not show up for work this morning. She was looking over the garnishment court order so she could talk to Eric Chang US Attorney about the litigation surcharge. She checked the BOP website and my release date was updated to 7/05/2026. Census count at 10:10 AM. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM after the count. Luncheon menu: chicken sandwich, beans, fries, milk, chocolate cake, an apple and water. Showered at 12:00 PM and changed to casual clothes. Had a short nap. Worked on my Spanish lessons. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served at 3:50 PM. Dinner menu: Turkey, mashed potato with gravy, carrots, bread and water. ACE Classes US History 1933 – 1945, 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8699 steps, 17.6 inches step length and symmetry was 78%. Yesterday was the 139th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. My released date was revised to 7/5/2026. Waked 6 miles, split stretched and practiced Yoga. Attended ACE Classes. Had a good nap and a restful Sunday.
