5/4/2024 Saturday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:30 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 63 degrees F. Started walking at 6:10 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:35 AM. Breakfast menu: Oatmeal, Cake, an apple and water.

Plan for Today:

  1. Stretch.
  2. Call Doris.
  3. Check email from Doris.
  4. Email daily diary for 5/3/2024.
  5. Walk 6 miles.
  6. Split stretch.
  7. Quotations.
  8. ACE Classes – Spanish Lessons 8:30 – 9:30 AM, Neuroscience Part 1, 5-6 PM (Hosting) and US History 1604-1800, 6-6:30 PM.

The morning started out cloudy, calm and cool. The dawn sky was already on full display, the sky was filled with thick clouds except for clearings above the Sierras and in the southern sky. The analogous colors were visible in the clearing: red, orange, yellow, seafoam green and light blue. The rabbits were grazing in the fields, Labrona was grazing on the soccer field, her juvenile rabbits were chasing each others. As the sun rise over the Sierras, the edges of the clouds near the sun were tinted with gold and nearby clouds were peach in color, the southern clearing was filled with seafoam green and light blue colors. The rabbits left the fields and grazed on the baseball field. More clouds rolled in and filled the sky. Walked 5 miles and jogged one mile, completed walking at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 9 minutes and 57 seconds. Average walking times were: 11 minutes and 40 seconds per mile or 1 minute and 57 seconds per lap. The pace was pretty fast as I worked up a sweat. Stretched and split stretched at the basketball court until 8:10 AM. Had a an apple, donuts, celery for snacks. Attended Spanish lessons from 8:30 – 9:30 AM. Finished laundering my blanket and sheets and inmate uniforms at 9:30 AM. Lunch was served at 9:35 AM. Luncheon menu: scrambled eggs, biscuits with gravy, fries, an orange and water. Talked to Doris at 9:50 AM: Doris is well and rested. It was raining in the Bay Area. She got drenched letting the dogs out. Diana will be going to UC Davis to visit her grand daughter, so their project for today was postponed. She has two Mother’s day orders and will be working on the orders. She will walk indoors to keep dry and warm. I told her I will be busy with the ACE Classes and working on my ACE Class Reports. Checked on Doris email: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8149 steps, 16.3 Inches step length and symmetry was 84%. Yesterday was the 102th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Diana won’t be coming by the house today, maybe tomorrow. She will visit me 5/11/2024. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 10:50 AM. Had a short nap. Went to library to work on my ACE Class report. It started raining from 12:30 Pm and it will last through out the night. Finished my ACE Class Report US History Native American. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: fried chicken breast sandwich, green beans, potatoes salad and water. ACE Classes Neuroscience Part 1, 5-6 PM and US History 1603 – 1800 6-6:30 PM. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.

Today was a good day: Doris is well and rested. She walked 8149 steps, 16.3 inches step length, symmetry was 84%. Yesterday was the 103rd consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Walked 6 miles and split stretched. Attended and hosted ACE Classes. Completed ACE Class Report – US History Native American.
