The morning started out dark, hazy, breezy and cool – 53 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was hazy, clear, the half moon was in mid sky at 10 o’clock, the breeze made the temperature cooler. The autonomous car company had their flood lights turned but not their facility lights, they were maintaining their equipment. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields while Labrona and family were grazing on the East of the Soccer field. The beautiful dawn sky was on display; band of red haze; analogous colors peeking over the Sierras: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky; the half moon was in mid sky at 10 o’clock. I walked the trails on the soccer and baseball fields. As the sun rise over the Sierras, it illuminated the Sierras and giving it depth, it changed colors as it ascended through the haze: red, orange, yellow and bright yellow. The birds were waiting for their food. After breakfast, inmates left their food on the ground, on the basketball court and at the entrance to the dormitory. The birds feasted on their food and foraged in teh fields. The squirrels appeared later and feasted on their food and grazed in the fields. Completed walking six miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 20 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 24 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced yoga at the basketball court until 9:00 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky, colorful sun rise and the half moon in mid sky. Opened my eyes to the sunny blue sky and half moon in mid sky at 9 o’clock. It doesn’t look like it will set in the West. Talked to Doris at 9:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. They are on their way. ETA is 10:30 -11:00 AM. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:20 AM. Lunch was served at 9:30 AM. I had ramen noodles with mackerel for lunch. Census count at 10:00 AM. Checked email from Doris at 10:10 AM: Doris is well. She walked 9,151 steps, 14.2 inches step length and symmetry was 14.3%. Yesterday was the 429th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Christina is driving her to visit me and ETA is 10:30-11:00 AM. Watched some NBA playoff basketball. Doris arrived at the visitation room at 11:00 AM: Doris is well. We had Dr Pepper, potatoes chips, Hershey chocolates bars and fig bars for snacks. She fell at the front door this morning and luckily the postman was delivering the mail and helped her get up. She paid the home insurance bill and transferred some funds to our savings account. I told Doris to let Eric do the Yard work for $600, as he did a very good job the last time. Nick tried to get Doris to do a tune up on the Genesis, I told her it is not required. She will wait for me on Tuesday 4/22/25 at the visitor parking area in the main USP. I will look for them after they processed me. She will let me know what car Norma will be driving on Tuesday. I told her I will have to stay in the half way house for 72 hours. But if they decided to send me to home confinement, I will take a taxi home. I told her my last day of communication with her is Sunday and possibly Monday morning, as they cut off our email, phone and commissary at close out my commissary account. She will go with Hortencia to get some baked BBQ buns on Monday, so I could have some breakfast/lunch while on my way to the half way house. The new medication for her eyes are making her dizzy and she has fallen down twice. I asked her to check with Dr Scott Lee about it. Doris let the visitation room at 2:45 PM. The AAPI group had Cheeseburgers and cheese cake for celebration of John Liu’s Birthday and my farewell dinner. Dinner was served at 3:00 PM. But I was too full for more food. Census count at 3:30 PM. Started to pack my stuff to bring with me to the half way house on 4/22/2025. Gave away several books and Knick knacks. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM.
