The morning started started out dark, sparse clouds, breezy and cool 57 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was hazy, sparse cirrus clouds and the breeze made the temperature cooler. The autonomous car company had their flood lights turned on but not their facility lights, they were not testing their vehicles. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing on the soccer field too. The beautiful dawn sky was on display; band of red haze; analogous colors peeking over the Sierras: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky. I walked on the soccer and baseball field trails. As the sun rise over the Sierras, it illuminated the Sierras giving it depth and the red sphere changed colors as it ascended through the haze: red, orange, yellow and bright yellow. The birds were waiting for their food after breakfast, inmates discarded their food on the ground and on the basketball court. The birds feasted on their food and foraged in the fields. Completed walking three miles and jogged the final three miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 2 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 1 second per mile or 2 minutes per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court in the morning sunshine until 8:40 AM. The stretch and yoga practice felt good after the morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky and spectacular sun rise. Opened my eyes to the clear blue sky. Walked 2 more miles on the soccer field trail. The squirrels were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields. Talked to Doris at 9:20 AM: Doris is well and rested. She was surprised that I called so early. I told her that there were no restrictions during the weekend. The weather is nice in Pinole and the dogs are up and running around. She enjoyed the GSW victory over the Portland Trailblazers. She will stay home today. I will work on my Book reports. Lunch was served at 9:30 AM.. Luncheon menu: chicken tortilla, rice, corn, pear and water. Census count at 10:00 AM. Walked another 4 more miles until 11:00 AM. The autonomous car company was testing their vehicles. Several inmates were having a baseball game. Changed to casual clothes at 11:30 AM. Checked email from Doris at 11:50 AM: Doris is well, She walked 9,837 steps, 15.4 inches step length and symmetry was 7.4%. Yesterday was the 422nd consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. She reminded me that the moon will be pink in color tonight – Spring moon. She will visit next week 4/19/2025. I had a short nap. Went to the library to work on my Book reports. The inmates had a Bingo game with popcorn from 2:00-3:20 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. I returned the ruler to the sewing room. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: chicken, lettuce, mixed vegetables, bread and water. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
