The morning call out for Dublin orderlies at 5:00 AM. They were headed out at 5:40 AM. The morning started out dark, hazy, partial cloudy, light breeze and cool – 53 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was hazy, sparse clouds in the Eastern and Northwestern horizons, the light breeze made the temperature cooler. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood lights turned on. They were testing their vehicles. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, Labrona were grazing on the soccer field too. The beautiful dawn sky was on display; band of red haze amid the sparse clouds; analogous colors peeking over the Sierras amid the clouds: red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue, gray clouds and blue sky; clouds in the East were peach/ gray colors while clouds in the West were peach /mauve and light gray colors. Birds were waiting for their food after breakfast, they feasted on food discarded by the inmates and foraged in the fields. I walked the trails on the the soccer and baseball fields. As the sun rise over the Sierras, it illuminated the Sierras giving it depth, it the sun rise it was hazy amid the sparse clouds, it finally cleared the clouds. Completed walking 6 miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 30 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 25 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 5 seconds per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 8:40 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky and spectacular sun rise. Opened my eyes to the hazy cloudy sky. Talked to education manager CO Johnson, I will turn over my education administrative duties to George Rivera. Continue walking 6 more miles until 10:10 AM. The squirrels were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields. The autonomous car company was testing their vehicles. I had blisters on my feet from walking 12 miles. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: chicken tortilla, mixed vegetables, beans, rice, pear and water. Talked to Doris at 11:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. She had an asthma attack and was able to control it with the nebulizer. The weather is nice in Pinole. She will stay home to work on her Mother’s day inventory.
