The morning call out for Dublin orderlies at 5:00 AM. They were headed out at 5:40 AM. The morning started out dark, cloudy, breezy and cold – 46 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was cloudy in the Southeast and in the Northern horizons, the clouds were sparse, the breeze made the temperature colder. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood lights turned on and they were testing their vehicles. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, Labrona and family were grazing on the soccer field too. Early breakfast and no wildlife appeared after breakfast, so the inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. The beautiful dawns sky was on display; band of red haze amid the sparse clouds; analogous colors peeking over the Sierras: gray clouds, red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky; sparse clouds further from the sun’s path were peach, mauve and gray colors. I walked the trails on the soccer and baseball fields. As the sun rise over the Sierras; it changed colors as is ascended through the haze: red, orange, yellow an bright yellow; clouds on its path were peach with golden edges; and clouds in mid sky were like peach puffs. The birds appeared around 7:10 AM and feasted on food left by the inmates and foraged in the fields. Completed walking 2 miles and jogged the final 4 miles at 7:40, in 1 hour 12 minutes and 30 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 5 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and one second per lap. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 9:00 AM. The stretch and Yoga practiced felt good in the morning sunshine after the cold morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky and colorful sun rise. Opened my eyes to the Blue sky with puffs of clouds blowing by. Case manager Mr. Larsen announced on the PA system that all inmates must vacate the dormitory so the orderlies could clean the dormitory. I think they wanted everyone out of bed, in their green uniforms, out of the dormitory doing something beside watching television. Since I have an hour before lunch, I decided to walk another 4 more miles and stretched. Completed walking and stretching at 10:10 AM. Today was commissary day several inmates braved the cold and breeze to get their groceries. I got my groceries yesterday. Lunch was served at 10:15 AM. Luncheon menu: hamburger, salad, French fries, apple puree, buns and water. They announces that we were allowed into the dormitory at 11:00 AM. Called Doris at 11:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. She wondered why I was late calling her. I told her we had to vacate the dormitory from 8:00-11:00 AM Daily for cleaning the dormitory. The weather is nice in Pinole. GSW won their game over the Memphis Grizzlies last night and Curry had 52 points. Butler and Green played well in the victory too. Next game for GSW is on Thursday against the Lakers.
