4/1/2025 Tuesday daily diary from Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:00 AM. Made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 57 degrees F. Started walking at 6:00 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:10 AM. Breakfast menu: Cereal, cake, milk, sugar, apple puree and water (cereal, torta, leche, azucar, manzana pure y agua).

The morning call out for Dublin orderlies at 5:00 AM. They were headed out at 5:40 AM. The morning started out dark, cloudy, breezy and cool – 47 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was cloudy except for clearing in the South and Southeast, the breeze made the temperature cooler. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood lights turned on. They were testing their vehicles. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields. The beautiful dawn sky was on display; band of red haze amid the clouds; analogous colors peeking over the Sierras; red orange, yellow, light green, white and gray clouds. Early breakfast, no birds appeared after breakfast, so the inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. More thick clouds were moving in. I walked on the soccer field trail. Completed 4 miles walk at 7:00 AM. It started to drizzle. Went to the exercise room to complete my walk on the treadmill. Completed 6 miles walk at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 24 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 24 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. The sun peek through the clouds and it stopped raining. Stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga at the basketball court until 9:00 AM. The stretch and Yoga practice felt good after the morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, balance, flexibility and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky and colorful sun rise amid the clouds. Opened my eyes to the cloudy sky. Talked to Doris at 9:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. She will contact her doctors to get a letter from them. She will work on he embroidery project. It was raining in Pinole, the dogs are staying in their dog house. The GSW is playing the Memphis Grizzlies in Memphis at 5:00 PM. I will be busy with GED tutoring, GED Class, book reports and EBRR class assignments. Showered and changed to BOP uniform at 9:20 AM. Checked email from Doris at 9:50 AM: Doris is well and rested. She walked 9,208 steps, 15.4 inches step length and symmetry was 7.8%. Yesterday was the 411st consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Case manager Mr Larsen announced on the PA system that everyone should vacate the dormitory immediately. They found some contrabands in the dormitory. They locked down the dormitory and conducted searches of our lockers. The commissary staff were loading merchandise for commissary tomorrow. Lunch was served at 10:20 AM. Luncheon menu: Chicken breast sandwich, salad, beans, rice, buns and water. They opened the commissary for some Unicor staff. I was able to secure my groceries from the commissary. I spent $28.40 at the commissary. Worked on my ACE Class reports. GED tutoring 12:00-1:30 PM. They finally ended the lock down at 1:30 PM. GED Class at 1:30-2:30 PM. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: Polish dog, buns, garnishments, beans, rice, potatoes chips and water. Worked on my ACE Class Report and EBRR assignments. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is well and rested. She walked 9,208 steps, 15.4 inches step length and symmetry was 7.8%. Yesterday was the 411st consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Walked 6 miles, stretched, split stretched and practiced Yoga. Good GED tutoring and GED Class.
