3/30/2025 Sunday daily diary form Atwater Camp.
Woke up at 5:00 AM. made up my bed, cleaned up, changed to BOP uniform and made a cup of coffee. Stretched, drank my coffee and watched the local news and weather report, high temperature for today is 67 degrees F. Started walking at 6:00 AM. Breakfast was served at 6:30 AM. Breakfast menu: grits, cake, milk, sugar, pear and water ( Semola de maiz, torta, leche, azucar, un pera y agua).

It rained last night and finally stopped at 4:00 AM. The morning started out started dark, completely overcast, breezy and cool – 52 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was completely overcast with gray clouds, the wind was blowing and it cooled the temperature and occasional drizzle. The autonomous car company had their facility and flood lights turned on, they tested their vehicles last night. No sign of any rabbits on the soccer or baseball fields or the fields by the fence. The rain last night flooded part of the walking trails. The dawn sky consisted of dark gray clouds except for a clearing in mid sky. Breakfast was served early, no birds appeared after breakfast, so inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. As the sun rise, it was covered by the thick clouds, the clearing in mid sky had peach and white clouds amid the blue sky. The birds appeared and feasted on their food and foraged in the fields. I walked on the basketball court. Completed walking six miles at 7:50 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 36 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 26 seconds per mile or 50 seconds per lap. Stretched and split stretched until 8:40 AM. The stretch felt good after the rainy morning walk. It started to drizzle at 8:40 AM. Called Doris at 8:50 AM: Doris is well and rested. It was drizzling and breezy in Pinole. The dogs are taking refuge in their dog house until the weather clears up. I told her Annie and Quang did not visit me yesterday. She will work on her Flower Bouquet embroidery. The GSW is playing the San Antonio Spurs tonight. I will be busy with ACE Class reports and EBRR assignments. Lunch was served at 9:30 AM. Luncheon menu: 2 fried eggs, French toast with syrup, French fries, pear and water. Census count at 10:00 AM. Showered and changed to casual clothes at 10:20 AM. Started my laundry. Had a short nap. Went to library to work on ACE Class Reports. Finished my laundry at 1:30 PM. Watched some March Madness college basketball. Checked email from Doris at 2:00 PM. Doris is well and rested. She walked 9356 steps, 17.5 inches step length and symmetry was 8.8%. Yesterday was the 409th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Annie and Quang asked for the half way house address: 205 Macarthur Boulevard, Oakland, CA 94610. She will visit me on 4/5/2025. The GSW is playing the San Antonio Spurs tonight. Not too many visitors at visitation today. It was cloudy day with partial sunshine and light drizzle all afternoon. Census count at 3:30 PM. Dinner was served after the count. Dinner menu: beef tacos, rice, beans, corn, cheese, salsa and water. Completed my ACE Class Report, Geography and Travel, Asia. Census count at 7:00 PM. Census count at 8:00 PM. Cleaned up at 9:00 PM. Final Census count at 9:30 PM. Went to bed at 10:00 PM.
Today was a good day: Doris is well and rested. She walked 9,356 steps, 17.5 inches step length and symmetry was 8.8%. Yesterday was the 409th consecutive days she closed the ring on her iPhone. Walked six miles, stretched and split stretched. Completed my ACE Class Report, Geography and Travel, Asia.
