The morning started out dark, hazy, light fog, light breeze and cool – 60 degrees F. The lower atmosphere was hazy, light fog with visibility of over 5 miles and light breeze made the temperature comfortable. The autonomous car company had the facility and flood lights turned on an they were testing their vehicles. Rabbits were grazing on the soccer and baseball fields, while Labrona and family were grazing inside the fence near the soccer field. The beautiful dawn sky was on display; red band of haze; analogous colors peeking over the Sierras; red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue and blue sky; the crescent moon was over the Southern horizon at 9 o’clock. The dawn sky scene looked like the depiction in the Aesop story book. No wildlife appeared after breakfast, so the inmates left their food on the ground and on the basketball court. I walked the trails on the soccer and baseball fields. The birds appeared and they feasted on food left by the inmates and foraged in the fields. As the sun rise, it illuminated the Sierras giving it depth, it turned sparse clouds in its vicinity peach color, brightened the sky and it changed colors as it ascended through the haze. Birds were flying in formation headed North. Completed walking three miles and jogged the final three miles at 7:40 AM, in 1 hour 14 minutes and 12 seconds. Average walking times were: 12 minutes and 22 seconds per mile or 2 minutes and 4 seconds per lap. Three students were ready for their GED examination but the proctor Co Huerta was late. Stretched, split stretched an practiced yoga at the basketball court until 8:50 AM. The stretched and yoga practice felt good after the morning walk. I was able to exercise all phases: strength, flexibility, balance and breathing. Finished my Yoga practice with the corpse pose and visualized the beautiful dawn sky, colorful sunrise and crescent moon in the Southern horizon. CO Huerta showed up at 8:50 AM and ushered the students to the GED room to take their GED examination. Talked to Doris at 9:00 AM: Doris is well and rested. The sun is out and weather is nice.
