The morning started out dark, windy and cold, in the 50’s but wind chill made it feels like 30’s. Labrona and her two juvenile rabbits were grazing by the basketball court. The dawn sky emerged with dark red, orange colors over the Sierras, blue and dark blue skies. The Northern Star was visible but not the moon. As the morning progressed, the analogous colors: brown, red, orange, yellow, light green, light blue, blue and dark blue sky were displayed on the path of the sun. These colors were punctuated by some streaks of cirrus clouds which turned to peach color. As the sun emerged the analogous colors turned to pastel and clouds near the sun turn to peach color with golden edges. The bright orange gold sphere illuminated everything on its path and warmed the air. It was a beautiful display of colors this morning and i get to enjoy it even though I am incarcerated.
